FAQs about hotels in Tallinn

From Middle Ages to Modernity

Wander along the narrow cobbled streets of the medieval city of Tallinn and marvel at the fashion forward culture existing comfortably alongside tradition.

The 14th-century church spires wind their way into the sky on top of the Toompea hill which rises in the center of town. Outside the city walls modernity reveals itself through soviet-style concrete buildings and contemporary glass skyscrapers.

A multitude of shopping opportunities are available especially along Viru Street, with several rising Estonian designer boutiques side by side with traditional crafts of woven fabrics, pottery and glass blowing. The café culture abounds and visitors can soak up the friendly atmosphere between purchases. Restaurants on the colorful Raekoja Plats offer a chance to try traditional Estonian fare.

Situated on the Gulf of Finland, a popular day trip is by boat to Helsinki. With a location so close to the water, the sandy beaches are a popular summer destination for locals and visitors alike. In the winter, the beauty of buildings such as the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral is hard to beat. With over 60 self-catering apartments and hotels available on Booking.com, you can live like a king in this pretty Estonian capital.

The Old Town and the KGB Museum at the Viru Hotel were the highlights of the trip. We only stayed for 3 nights as it was a quick visit coming from Helsinki on the ferry. Easy to get to, people very friendly and easy to navigate around the City.

Wonderful city with a lot to see and do. Estonian people are so effortlessly cool and friendly. Everyone was very helpful. Lots of great bakeries and restaurants especially for a vegetarian which can be difficult sometimes but not in Tallinn. Very easily accessible and excellent public transport

Rahva Raamat bookstores with their cafes! The Best! Karnaluks - a heaven for those making handicraft. Minipancakes in Kooker (e.g. in Balti Jaam). Balti Jaam turg itself. Ülemiste mall, a bit hard to navigate in, but a big selection of stores. Breads from Muhu Pagarid!

Tallin is really good city, that everybody ones schould visit, bcs of the architecture, food and drinks ( i LOVE Tallins glök), weather. The citycenter is beautiful and full of the history. The language is different, but people there want help you anyway and speak there also good English, German and Russian, i didnt have some problem with it. So visit Tallin can be breathtaking with his viewpoints, life-changing with his culture and life changing with you.

Get the number 2 or 15 bus from airport.

Get the number 2 or 15 bus from airport. Get off at the Opera House, it takes about 15/20 minutes - though I walked back to the airport and it took only 40 minutes. There is a really useful tourist office - pick yourself up a map. The KGB Museum is not worth going to. Lots of cobbled streets, so sensible footwear. There is a great walk alongside the Baltic Sea, you will even get to watch locals taking a dip in very cold water (this was early March and 1 degree). If you get a chance to book something at the Opera House, I saw a ballet and it was magical.

It is a small and cozy hotel situated in the Old town. You can park your car just near the entrance. Our hotel room was overlooking the scenery of the Tallinn Old town. Room was rather spacious, bathroom was spacious with two sinks. Staff was very polite and helpfull. Restorant Castello offered delicious Italian food and outstanding service, we felt like home.

Staff is super friendly and rooms are great, no matter are you staying in cheapest room or in suite. The restaurant in 24th floor is excellent except that you can hear everything from kitchen (I mean every discussion). There are great spa and gym. Location is the best and I recommend higher floors for beatiful view to Tallinn.

Best hotel to stay in if you have to catch a early flight from Tallinn airport. Rooms are a little bit basic compared to other All Accor hotels i stayed at, but still sufficient. Location is the main reason to stay here.
