Orchida St. George Hotel features an outdoor swimming pool, shared lounge, a terrace and restaurant in Aswan.

Very nice staff, the room is basic but has everything you need. Location is great, other than the normal tours I really enjoyed walking around Aswan Old Souq that is next to Orchida and had delicious falafel there, some of the best I had in Egypt.

Perfect location on an island next to the beautiful Philoe Temple. A wonderful and very special place. Go there and stay! Spectacular views and great spirits. Located in Aswan, 17 km from Aga Khan Mausoleum, Fenti Nubian Resort provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant.

Upon arrival, guests get a welcome drink called Karkadeh. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The entire resort is influenced by the Nubian Tribes of Egypt. It is artistic and picturesque. The room was comfortable, but the shower overflowed, making the bathroom a bit messy. The hotel provides insect repellant, which is a must being so close to the Nile. The food is delicious. The resort organises tours at fair prices. The bazaar is a short walk from the hotel and is safe to walk and explore even until after dark.

Nala Narty Boutique Hotel & Farm has a garden, private beach area, a terrace and restaurant in Aswan.

I had pleasure to staying at this hidden gem, it was like stepping into another world - one where time slows down, nature surrounds you. The island has its own farm, where people are welcome to pick fresh fruits and veggies- a true gift from the Nile. These vibrant ingredients become part of the meals we enjoyed. There are small boats and kayak available for guests to use, offering a sense of freedom and adventure. Recommend paddling to Seheil island with authentic Nubian village and fantastic view of Nile. Sherif and his team was incredibly thoughtful and generous. He not only coordinated activities on and around the island, but also create a warm, welcoming atmosphere that brought all the guests together. If you have enough time and are looking for a place to reconnect with nature, nourish body and soul, this island is a true sanctuary. I wish I could come back one day. 推荐集美们在这里可以多住几天,真的超级美好的小岛🥺

Amazing stay and honestly one of the best customer service experiences in Egypt. Rooms are super cute and cosy and was so Amazing to wake up to the sunrise right o the river. All of the staff went above and beyond and the food was simply delicious. I chose to eat there often rather than go to other restaurants as it was some of the best food I ate during my month in Egypt. I'm coming back with a group later in the year and even gave them a shout out on IG which is rare. Highly recommend 👌

Allow at least 2 full days for Aswan region.

Allow at least 2 full days for Aswan region. It s a great stopover for a break after the madness of the tourist sites. The Nubian village ( with the colored walls, where all the motor boats end up) on the other side of the town has been a place where i could have made local friends if I stayed longer. Of course the money making is also there in the mindset, and it s over touristic but you experience the vib of a local village if you stay overnight there. I suggest Ekadolli guesthouse for location outside the touristic area, still close enough to the village, up a hill offering nice view at the Nil. Nebro Guesthouse is better if you wish to wake up right beside the river, in the heart of the village but quiet enough.

After Giza and Cairo, Aswan was more relaxing.

After Giza and Cairo, Aswan was more relaxing. I enjoyed Kafana Guesthouse, Nubian Museum, Abu Simel and a wonderful felucca ride arranged by Kafana Guesthouse. Philae Temple was fine too. I really enjoyed eating at Makani at the ferry stop. However my best meal in Egypt was at El Modesh in Abu Simel. Delicious fish and a special rice dish. And cheap!

There is much to enjoy in Aswan-Philae Temple, Botanical Gardens,Nubian Village, the main Market. Further afield there is access to Abu Simbel. Just going around town trying the different drinks on offer is quite nice from fresh juices , like pomegranite ,strawberry, lemon with Mint, or Sudanese or Turkish coffee or different Teas like ginger and lemon. The atmosphere is vibrant. One think I found difficult was finding places to eat. Ended up in Macdonalds a couple of times however that didn't open till 1pm in the afternoon. Good air conditioning though

I was not all that impressed with Aswan itself, but it is a great location from which to start a river cruise down the Nile, It is also a good location to make a 1 day visit to Ibu Simbel, although it is a 3 1/2 hour bus ride to that location from Aswan. If you re wanting to viit Ibu Simbel, I would rather recommend a two night stay in the town of Ibu Simbel, so that you can visit the temples outside of the crowded times . Take a tour of the Nubian villages upstream from Aswan on the Nile. They were worth the trip, plus you might get to see the school and get taught to count in Arabic

I love being on boats on the Nile -- feluccas, motor launches, kayaks all provide wonderful, peaceful moments in a beautiful setting. The people are generally kind and helpful (though their persistent efforts to encourage you to use their services can be wearing).

We were the only family at the property (because of the season's end) so we had an endless conversation about the history, ancient Egypt, and the Nubian life with Seyfi. Hotel is very clean with A/C, good wifi, and a wide lobby. We felt like a guest in a village house, not a customer of them. Seyfi helped us to find a taxi to go to Luxor and called us every time to be sure we were ok. My kids liked him too much and these nice Nubian people. very happy to see you there, we believe we have a friend there.

We arrived really late at the hotel and they organized the transfer and the ferry for us. Also they helped us to book a trip to Abou Simbel, and since we left very early they gave us a bag with breakfast. The location is very quiet and the hotel has a relaxed atmosphere, which is great because Egypt is very intense. We also had lunch there and the food was really good.
