We chose Costa Calma as it is supposed to be the least windiest part of the island. When the wind did blow it was acceptable as it benefitted us in the heat.. It's not too far a walk into Costa Calma where everything that is, is !!! Wednesday & Sunday Market is conveniently situated & walkable. Mostly big all inclusive hotels, hug the beach in Costa Calma, which shows, in that there are few bars and restaurants in the outer areas. We stayed at R2 Maryvent apartments and would highly recommend these. We ate at Asia Garden (40E for 2 and take home leftovers) and Mamma Mia (less than 20E for a great pizza, fries and two drinks), both excellent service and great food.
