Hotel itself is clean and reception staff are helpful. Location is fine to walk around during the day but get a taxi back at night, like you would in any big city! Main problem was the airport shuttle did not come for me. I had booked it a week earlier and reminded them on the day of travel but it didn't show up. I tried messaging and calling on arrival but there was no answer. I used to live in Addis and so an comfortable taking a taxi alone, but for anyone new to the city, or arriving at night, this could worrying or scary. The hotel need to sort this out as I am not the first to have this experience.

Pool was good. Breakfast was good as well, recommended as the options outside the hotel are limited. The room was clean, and the property did their best to keep it pleasant.

    The hotel is small but well coordinated. The breakfast was good and delicious. I ate their Local food enjera that was rare for a traveler like me. The staff was very understanding and friendly and treated their customers like family.

    The city is clean in general. People are friendly. U have to take care of your personal belongings in crowded areas. We found some difficulties in finding food that is suitable for us as most ethiopian food is spicy. We visited unity park which was very nice. We visited Entoto park and mountain which there was an amazing view of the city. We have also visited a resort in debre zeyit where we had lunched and enjoyed kayaking by the lake

    Addis Ababa is a city full of histories.

    Addis Ababa is a city full of histories. This should be your number one stop if you are interested in the Ethiopian Orthodox Church and African history. It is easy to navigate the city with ride hailing apps. We had a full day city tour visiting Holy Trinity Cathedral, Entoto Hills, University of Ethiopia and the Arts and Craft Market.

    We LOVED our stay at Loft Hotel Apartment.

    We LOVED our stay at Loft Hotel Apartment. It was a High Standard Apartment. The apartment was very spacious with a comfortable bed, couch, table & chairs, modern bathroom/ shower, fully equipped kitchen. A boiling pitcher to make tea which was much appreciated. The room service, fully staffed kitchen, and front desk, porter, security, menu including coffee, latte available all day into the late evening hours. The 9th floor has a gym, and a very large open air with lounge furniture to relax and enjoy. The dining room and first fllor sitting area was a place to gather with friends for business or relaxation. The breakfast buffet offered cultural Ethiopuan coffee authentically roasted and made in front of guests, Cafe latte, juices, cakes, hard boiled eggs, Ethiopian fare, omelets make to order by a "sou chef" or a opportunity to order off of a full menu. The hotel was quiet and free from the clammer of the city. Definately a safe quiet, haven to retreat to after a busy day.The absolute best part was the staff under the expert General Management of Meklit Kifle. She was warm, personable, caring and hands on to attend to her guests in whatever way was needed. Everyone was kind, attentive, smiling and genuine. We felt like we were all "Family". We would never want to stay anywhere else when we return. We would like to send an "honorable mention" regarding a dining experience of two restaurants which are walking distance from the loft. 1) Avante for excellant high end fare. 2) Soro Maria Hotel Buffet for lunch and occasional dinners. Must call ahead for their buffet schedule.

The lights in the city are just wonderful Transport and movement readily available Please tour historical sites in Addis The insistence by police to check your luggage every day at your apartment and entering your room at will sounds more like breathing on my neck as much as it's a security precaution

    There are many zoo parks, museums, and churches, but most of them are closed on Monday. For safety reasons, it's better to go out with a tour driver, even if it's expensive. Bring loose change, not whole hundred-dollar bills. Don't exchange too much Birr as it's almost impossible to get it back for US dollars by cash.

Special thanks to Habib for his top-notch service. Really appreciated the flexibility during Ramadan, especially with sohour — it made a big difference.
