An absolute gem! Bourdeilles is picture perfect and the hotel was a delight. Very comfortable, spacious room with comfortable bed. Food was excellent and service attentive. Staff were fluent in English if that’s a requirement. We would definitely return. Waking up to birdsong and the river flowing outside was perfect.

We had a wonderful time at the Chateau de Gouyas. The hosts (Dom and Shelby) did everything to make us feel comfortable, and we enjoyed the interesting conversations we had with them and the other guests. The rooms are beautifully renovated, the breakfast is lavish, and a lot of attractive sights (Aubeterre-sur-Dronne, Perigueux, Brantome, Villars, etc.) are easy to reach. We also appreciated Dom's recommendation to have dinner in the nearby Moulin du Pont.
