The house is on 3 intriguing levels ,the rooms are characterful and spacious, retaining an authentic feel , with polished wood floors, fresh linens, generous towels; the luxurious bathrooms are a haven for pampering. .The garden room and lawned courtyard are perfect to enjoy summer morning breakfast or summer evening relaxation.The fully equipped kitchen and dining room is available for guests to use so you can make use of the vibrant ,twice- weekly market with every kind of fresh produce available and other nearby stores.There is a great choice of cafes ,bars and good restaurants ,patisseries, a swimming pool, within a short stroll away. too .I hope I have a chance to stay again before this exceptional B&B , located close to a picturesque bridge crossing the Charente, finds new owners to carry on the hospitable welcoming of its guests through its delightful solid oak doors!

This was a lovely self contained room with dry toilet (which the kids found a treat to use) and nice shower room with a lovely hot shower. Comfy beds. The gardens, pond and bats/balls/badminton was a nice surprise and there were sheep& chickens to see. Breakfast was served via an entrance to the back of the main house, very nice. The host was very lovely and helpful. Lovely accommodation in a pretty setting.

Well equipped, everything you need for a comfortable stay. The private garden and outdoor seating, lovely sitting outside, enjoying a glass or two! Tastefully furnished, many finishing touches. Lovely hosts. Great breakfast. Overall, great value for money, our second stay and would always stay here, if passing through again on our way to Spain. Certainly the best accommodation we experienced on our Spanish/French trip. Congratulations, Lesley and Mark!

Beautiful Location, close to town with lots of amenities and pub within a 10 minute walk. Mark and Michelle were so warm and welcoming on our arrival. They’ve obviously poured a lot of love and effort into renovating the property and the Gîte which shines through, it really felt like a home from home. Couldn’t recommend highly enough.

Everything was absolutely brilliant. The most beautiful home to stay in and the hosts were exceptional. It was like staying in the best dressed show home you could imagine, everything was prestine. Great location for visiting the nearby La Vallee des Singes.
