My wife and I are frequent travelers to France and we stay in various hotels and other accommodations. Chateau Le Baudou is fabulous discovery near Coutras, France. Our hosts Marie-Laure and Jean-Philippe are warm and friendly. They welcome you with open arms and see to it that you are comfortable in the Chateau that was built in the mid 1700's. It is charming, authentic and nestled in the countryside only a few minute's drive to Coutras. Our room was very clean and furnished with antique decor. The breakfast was special with the confitures and yogurt homemade. Jean-Philippe was a chief purser on Air France for many years and his attention to detail and service was impressive. I am so glad I found this place. It’s a great value for the money, very nice rooms at a great location. And the staff is excellent. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful, bringing us an ironing board and iron and helping us book a taxi. We didn’t dine there for breakfast.
