Spectacular, panoramic city view from both the room and the restaurant. Excellent buffet breakfast. I also ate at the restaurant for dinner (without a reservation, but they were kind enough to accommodate me) and the service, food and atmosphere were fantastic. Comfortable mattress, fluffy duvet. Nespresso/Keurig-style coffee machine in the room. My room ("Premium Room") had just enough space for the bed, a desk and a couple of chairs - it was fine for me but travellers with more/larger bags might have found it a tight space.
Next to a shopping mall and the train station, but quite far from the old town. I stayed here for the view and the convenient location, but I would stay somewhere else if I really wanted to explore Lyon.
My main gripe is the size of the room. It is ridiculously small. You can only just get passed the bottom of the bed and the wall. No extras at all. No coffe/tea facilities or safe in the room. It was expensive at £91 with cancellation policy but no breakfast. As far as I remember it used to be an Ibis budget but has been reclassified as a regular Ibis. It really is not worth the money. The main plus point is the close access to the A6. But there is a B&B hotel now where the (excellent) Novotel used to be - literally across the road.
Ali - in reception, super helpful and friendly - corrected my French which I truly appreciate. The room was a good size, bed comfortable, very clean, good sized bathroom, powerful hot shower. Breakfast was a good variety including hot food. I have a gluten intolerance so although there was no bread for me, there was plenty I could eat. If we decide to visit Lyon for a couple of days I think this could be a good location to park up and stay over and travel into Lyon.
Standard B&B hotel near the motorway, ideal for a one night stopover. The restaurant is open until 22h, the food is good after a long journey. The bed is comfortable, the bathroom is clean. Free open-air parking with electric chargers. Pet friendly hotel.
