This is a characterful hotel set in one of the famous ‘Mexican villas’ of the Ubaye valley. Our room, in the annex, was large, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The staff were friendly and helpful, ensuring our stay went without a hitch. The bar is novel, set outside in the shade of a large tree which must be delightful in the summer. Dinner was outstanding, one of the best meals of a high quality tour, and was matched by breakfast. There is oodles of secure parking.
Located 35 km from Col de la Bonette, Auberge du Bachelard offers 2-star accommodation in Uvernet-Fours and features a garden, a terrace and a restaurant.

Beds were ok, but in the eaves, so difficult to get in / out. Shower not the worst we have had in France.
The attached restaurant is not bad, worth a visit (even if not staying at the hotel).
Located in the heart of Barcelonnette, the Grand Hotel offers a terrace, a fireplace, billiards and a bar. The property is set in Place Manuel, where several events are organized during the summer.
With the Ubaye Mountains as a backdrop, La Grande Epervière is just a few minutes walk from the centre of Barcelonnette. It is also next to the Mercantour National Park and the Praloup ski resort.
