We really enjoyed our stay, especially thanks to the amazing staff. Everyone was so welcoming, always smiling, and happy to help. The warm atmosphere they created during breakfast and in the evenings made a big difference.

Les Menuires is a good base. It has plenty of local skiing, but also gives good access via ski lifts (subject to weather) to the other areas. I went to Courcheval and Mirabel several time, but Val Thorens most often. Because of enjoying the fairly self contained half-board at Club Belambra, I did not need to explore places to eat out.

We had plenty of snow so it was ideal skiing.
We had plenty of snow so it was ideal skiing. The resort is quiet and high up and beautiful. People were friendly and ski school was good. Loved going into the local pub apre ski and lunch. Others in our group who are good skiers skied all over and said it was fantastic. They went to Val Thorens and lots of other places. It's a 3 hour transfer from Grenoble airport but that was ok. Had a very nice meal in a restaurant next to the Necou accommodation.

Centrally located, although other areas have quicker access to the other valleys. Mid elevation, so skiing is a bit sloppy in warmer weather and it's a bit of a ride up the two lane road into the valley (as if you have a better option elsewhere). Nothing there other than a couple hotels and small shops, not a true Alpine village, but if that's what you're looking for (rather than a huge ski area), then go to Austria or Switzerland

This town is not as expensive as Val Thorens for accommodation, but it offers easy access to the Val Thorens ski area via a convenient cable car. After skiing in Val Thorens in the afternoon, you can ski back to the town in just a few minutes. It's amazing!

The ski area is fantastic, well-connected by lifts and with something for everyone. Les Menuires itself is awful. No atmosphere, 1970s buildings, no real center and just a concrete jungle which dies at 21.00. The restaurants are expensive and generally offer poor quality. Prices on the slopes are ridiculous for families - we looked in 6 places and couldn't find a warm main course for less than 30 euros (and I'm talking burgers and chips, nothing special).
So if you're there for skiing, you'll love it. If you're idea of a winter holiday includes aprés-ski and a village with some character, avoid it like the plague.

Great location - close to Les Bruyeres restaurants and shops, ski in / ski out, free shuttle bus to Val Thorens and La Croisette, Les Menuires).
Friendly and helpful staff. Clean spa facilities in great condition. Sauna and swimming pool were great. Comfortable bedding and a small but well-equipped kitchen.
The interior design was lovely, the room had a nice view and was quite spacious. The ski room was great. The spa was lovely however it was quite small for the hotel's capacity, also they did not have enough towels.
Breakfast was good, nothing too special but definitely enough to start your day with! Location wise this hostel is great, You can ski from the hotel and also ski back to the hotel at the end of the day!
Location was perfect, in Les Menuires, with easy access to Val Thorens and Meribel, well connected, with one green and one blue slope just right under.
