The hotel was in a great location, close to the centre of Narbonne and all the amenities. The hotel staff were excellent, they were very helpful and knowledgeable and helped us park our car in their private garage. The room was very nicely decorated with a very comfortable bed. We did not have breakfast but did visit the hotel restaurant in the evening. The food and wine were excellent! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit Narbonne.

Great apart from not really dog friendly.
Had to eat breakfast outside, if I was a lone traveller I would have struggled.

Top quality accommodation in an atmospheric pleasantly old-fashioned hotel. The spiral staircase is beautiful and there’s the nice touch of the little terrace garden. The city of Narbonne is also a wonderful place to be.

Narbonne is a pretty town with some beautiful gothic buildings and Roman ruins. One day is plenty to visit everything though so I wouldn't recommend a longer stay on a tourist trip, unless you were using it as a base to explore the region.

Narbonne was a nice surprise.
Narbonne was a nice surprise. Booked in mainly to break up travel between Lourdes and Barcelona, and to attend Latin Mass at Saint Sebastian Church. Originally thought we might eat at Les Grande Buffets, but Les Halles market offerings were more than adequate!
Picturesque canal and market area.

A small city (accessible on foot) on the Canal de la Robine, which links the Canal du Midi to the Mediterranean. Has all the usual French experiences of food, wine, shops, culture and friendly people plus a massive dose of Roman history - Narbo Via is a must. Easy access to the coast (Gruissan is lovely), and to/from Carcassonne (airport and fairytale old city). If you think it’s a long way to go, think again - 90 minute flight, easy small airport, quiet roads, cheap reliable public transport. And shorts/T-shirts in October. For a special occasion we ate at Le Petit Comptoir - not cheap, but great food, wine, atmosphere and service.

The best thing we saw was the superb new Narbo Via Roman museum. Absolutely wonderful Norman Foster building. If you remember the old church that was used to house these items before you will be amazed. We could easily have spent longer there there except that the restaurant was shut.
Good for kids as well, there are lots of things to build and experiment with.

Narbonne is perfect for a relaxing stay and as a base for the area. We used the local trains for visits to Beziers, Perpignan and Montpellier. Les Halles is a terrific indoor market and walking through the old centre there are plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants. I can't comment on nightlife.

The global style is out of the ordinary, super charming, and with a strong character in the south of France. The surroundings are so beautiful, you are always around wine grapes, I strongly recommend long walks, where you will find hidden gems to take breaks or enjoy the view. The spa is very cozy. The food was delicious at every meal, and the wine tasting is a must-do, as the sommeliers are very knowledgeable and inspiring. Each member of the staff has always a smile and is there to help you.
We spent 4 wonderful days at the Domaine. From the moment we arrived, we were given a warm welcome by Jan. He made the stay feel special, he's always available. The breakfasts were the best (by far!) of any hotel or B&B were we've stayed before, many choices and everything fresh and delicious. The dinner with the chef Viktor were also a wonderful experience. You can also bike to Narbonne with bikes the Domaine lends you. We had a delightful stay and we will definitely be back!
I travelled a lot in my life, for work and measure. Stayed in many many hotels before but this one is without doubt in my top 5. Just the perfection in every aspect. Meet and great, breakfast, room, bathroom, the very charming lady-host, the intellegent and nice conversations.....A must go when you're in Narbonne
Nice little studio with all the amenities necessary for a short stay. Comfi beds, fully equiped kitchen.
The apartment is in a quiet street but just a short walk from the centre of Narbonne.
