Dinner was amazing but breakfast was a little over done but still tasty. The poor lady who was serving breakfast was on her own which slowed everything down but she did a fab job.
Would definitely re book a lovely setting, the man on reception was very friendly when we checked in and the restaurant staff were very helpful.

This is a very old buildings no reciption with just a small window indicating to call a camber upon arrival but no one answered the number until way afternoon and when they answered they are very unfriendly

The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and had a unique charm that made our stay even more enjoyable. The real highlight, though, was the incredible car collection—an absolute treat for any car enthusiast! It’s clear that a lot of passion has gone into this place, and it truly shows. We’ll definitely be returning and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special stay.

We loved everything and would stay again. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Staff were excellent, and nothing was too much trouble. The food for the party was lovely, tasty and just right. This charming, quiet town has lovely canal walks and a large public park next to the town centre. The high street has good eateries and nice little shops. Don't miss the Coffee House Cafe, with it's great sandwiches and all-day cooked breakfast! If you want to explore further the helpful staff in the central tourist office will suggest various self guided historic walks. It is a perfect spot to overnight only a 15 minute drive from Stansted airport (and is NOT on the flight path, so no noise of passing planes), and easily reached by public bus #510 (or #509) which runs a regular service to and from the town even at night.Guest review byCarolynItaly - Review score10.0

Bishops Stortford is a lovely old town which is relatively compact so it is easy to walk around the town centre. There is a good range of shops and quaint tea rooms and excellent restaurants.
