Forgebraehead, North Shawbost is a recently renovated bed and breakfast in Bragor, where guests can make the most of its garden and terrace.

With the loss of power, it was nice still have a coffee in the morning, no fault of the owners, power company caused the failure as well as on Skye.

Great little house to rent if you're spending some time on Lewis. Not too far away from Stornoway but far enough to give you that peaceful feel. The property is well stocked with all the equipment you might need away from home. Super friendly host and host's mother, too. Would definitely come back in the future. Thank you for a pleasant experience.

Very quiet place, nice long roads without traffic lights or speed cameras, most roads in good condition and easy to get about. Really improved my MPG as not many stops/starts! So much ancient history everywhere you look, Neothithic stone circle just up the road, ( there are many of these on the island. ) little families of deer everywhere, so drive carefully. Not too far to travel for the best beaches we've ever seen and if you love history as we do, amazing places to visit on the island. We self catered but there are little cafés around . The few shops there do sell virtually everything you may need.

We had room 3 which was comfortable.

We had room 3 which was comfortable. The furniture in our bedroom and throughout the hotel was good quality. Staff were very helpful nothing was too much trouble. I highly recommend the food there. Each dish we had was good and very tasty. Laura served us the most, she was very helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. All the staff were lovely. The owner can be proud of this establishment. I highly recommend.

We most liked the house's location.

We most liked the house's location. It was well placed for getting out and about to visit tourist attractions in the north and south of the island. It was 30 minutes drive from the ferryport/main town. This clean house was well stocked with everything you need to ensure a comfortable stay. There was a garden and adequate parking for 2 cars. The house was 5 minutes walk from local village restaurants and village shop.

The setting of the property was splendid with walks from the front door. Plenty of places to visit of great interest and the scenery was magnificent. Windy every day but little rain and glorious autumnal sunshine.

I've stayed here several times and always found it to be very good, my only critisim was with breakfast, there were only beef sausages available which I don't like and I was really looking forward to some pork links :-(

Booked this on the day of stay, due to being geographically challenged. Bev couldn't have been more accommodating. She guided us in (I should have read her detailed directions) opened the door and showed us around. The little touches left at the cottage made it feel like we had arrived at home from home. We feel like we really struck lucky. Bev guided us to the Borve hotel (10 min walk)for dinner and drinks, which was really nice too.

The chalet was very well equipped/newly furnished. Outdoor area was beautifully maintained. View and walk to sea was breathtaking. Running stream nearby/sound of sea was peaceful. Complimentary items much appreciated. Enjoyed lovely meal in co-located Borve Hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay, it was relaxing and comfy. Everything you need is in the chalet. The hot tub and sauna were brilliant. Shop nearby and lovely hotel you can walk to to for a relaxing drink or food. We appreciated the lovely welcome basket.
