The walls in our room were scuffed and grubby. The toilet toll holder was broken as well

Very helpful host. As my wife and I are deaf and my wife disabled, the host was very understanding.
Clacton was far nicer than I expected. Loved the amenities and gardens and would be happy to recomend it for families in particular. It was easy to get around, though the traffic queues to Holland on Sea inland were a pain. More easily accessed along the coastal road.

We actually live in Clacton on Sea and just wanted to celebrate our Ruby Wedding anniversary with dinner in your restaurant, which was an excellent meal, then an overnight stay in a comfortable room with a sea view and the full English breakfast completed our very happy stay perfectly. Thank you to all staff at Kingscliff Hotel!

We were there end of November so most things were shut.
We went to the cinema while there which was a bargain!!! £10.90 for 2 tickets!
Some arcades open
We have been many times in the summer and just keep on going back!
We ate in weather's weatherspoons ad it's always cheap and cheerful although the portion size always means hubby eats 2 dinners in there!

Clacton is a lovely kiss-me-quick family friendly place.
Clacton is a lovely kiss-me-quick family friendly place. Nice break for friends or couples. Lots of decent restaurants, chippies and fast food, pubs etc. Amusement arcades for fun and the pier for rides, donuts and games. Lovely promenade to walk along and take the sea air.

It wasn't the prettiest of seaside places but the beaches were lovely. For families with young children there was loads to do. There were nice gardens along the seafront. The shops were everything you would expect in a town. We liked the Princes theatre as it wasn't too big. We had a lovely meal at smugglers cove restaurant, we had the carvery and the turkey was superb. There are plenty of cafes and places to eat..

Luv'ly ! A trip down memory lane for me as I was here as a child with my parents on holidays in the 60/70's. Should have just kept it a memory (?) Our hotel was lovely however, staff were fantastic ! Most of the food in the restaurant was great all though the chef didn't know how to do an egg sunny side up ? And be warned the breakfast are a bit of a disaster....Go to the Mcdonald directly opposite for a McMuffin, a lot cheaper & more tasty 😋
An absolute gem of a place! Perfect location for Clacton sea front. Staff super friendly and accommodating. Lovely rooms with en suite which home lovely walk in shower. Comfy bed. Very clean throughout. Breakfast was well cooked and very tasty.
We travel in the UK a lot, and this is by far the best affordable accommodation we have stayed in.
If you’re in clacton, you won’t receive a better service anywhere else!
The Chudleigh is one of the two highlights in Clacton on sea, the other is the beach which is literally 2 mins walk away. The people running the place are truly lovely people who go the extra step to making your stay fantastic. Their hospitality is top notch. The breakfast is excellent and the beds are very comfortable, we had a great night sleep
A work in progress. This hotel can potentially be a top hotel in Clacton if run properly. Location excellent, staff excellent. Restaurant and bar is good. Breakfast not bad, needs a little improving.
Location was great near the beach and shops was driving distance away. Clacton on sea was a 10-15 minute drive. However there is a near beach close by but smaller.
