This was my first trip to England and it was thrilling to stay in a hotel that looked like a small castle. The decor was so rustic and beautiful. I also loved all of the smaller cottages on the property and the grounds were just lovely. We really enjoyed spending some time outdoors while we were there.

The staff was extremely friendly and we enjoyed the breakfast. We did not consider and were not made aware of the difficulty of finding a place for Easter Sunday dinner. My room was under the roof and the shower was tiny, but clean. I don't think we would have had a big chance of an escape in case of a fire. My friends had the huge room on the ground floor with an enormous bathroom.

Beautiful location with a vintage stonewall and oak beam design with excellent bedrooms and bath shower facilities. The tea and coffee provided with biscuits was amazing along with the tasty breakfast within the pub . Will definitely use the royal oak again.

Loved the building very distinctive and beautiful . Staff expectational, food was great wished we had stayed longer and would go back in a heart beat . Very good stay and loved every minute of it
One of my favourite stays! The flat itself is so beautiful, very clean and peaceful. I wish we had more time to just relax and read, but we had commitments. The windows are gorgeous and great for sunny days. Lucienne was very helpful and responsive too! Thank you!

Large bedrooms and comfortable large beds, bath in the rooms, at Pettifers.
Food in their restaurant was great.
Several areas to sit. Games to play were supplied.
However would not recommend for a large group of people as staffing levels in restaurant not high enough.
Good sized car park.
Village picturesque and near to Cotswolds famous places.

Quiet rural village close to interesting historic places like Shorncote old medieval church, Cirencester Roman site & museum, Lacock Abbey (a 40 min drive) and lovely little pubs. You'd need a car or careful checking of public transport routes, lovely area for cycling around the lakes & lots of little cafes there (daytime & weekends). DIned at the cosy & quaint 'Potting Shed' pub a few steps along the road, it was a good selection of local real ales & just what was needed.

There was at least 2 pubs in walking distance to eat and the potting shed served excellent food. Plenty of field walks to explore. Supermarket was just 10 mins drive with other ones only a little further. Was a perfect base for discovering the Cotswolds.

Crudwell is a pretty village in the cotswolds, it is quite small with not a lot there other than a few pubs/hotels and a post office.
Not far up the road is Malmesbury, a bigger town and there are some supermarkets only a few minutes up the road.
It's well placed as a base to explore the Cotswolds

Staff were very friendly & helpful and the hotel was conveniently placed. Room was comfortable enough for a solo traveller. Breakfast was tasty & filling if a bit chaotic when they were busy.
Beautiful property set in lovely gardens.
