The Heart of England is a hotel, pub and restaurant in Weedon Bec, around 8 miles west of Northampton.

The rooms were very clean although dated and the beds were comfortable. Good facilities in the room eg kettle and fan and plenty of plugs. Its in an ideal location if you are going to a wedding at Dodford Manor. The young lad that served our meals was very friendly and I seen the chef behind the bar and he was friendly

Set in beautiful grounds, the Staverton Park Hotel & Golf Club features an 18-hole golf course, modern leisure club and an elegant restaurant. The hotel is situated in Staverton, just outside...

The outside view was nice and inviting. It was close enough to the place that we had to be and 6 minutes drive to town if you’d like to go to Weatherspoon (which is not far from Tesco). As for the inside of the property, it was clean and bright. The Lady at the front desk was nice and friendly too.

The Rear of the Plough, Everdon., a property with a garden, is set in Daventry, 24 km from Silverstone, 39 km from Milton Keynes Bowl, as well as 39 km from Kelmarsh Hall.

Great location, great host, excellent local walks and a very nice village. Dinner at the pub ‘The Plough’ a couple of doors away was excellent. We were with friends, we had both rooms which were both very comfortable and clean, and the breakfast was excellent. Would we stay again? no question. Would we recommend it? Yes, and we are very fussy when it comes to staying away. Parking for two cars which worked very well for us. The weather was good when we were there, which meant we had our breakfast served to us at the table outside, which was really very nice. The host Charlie (a very nice lady) was very attentive and could not do enough for us, making sure we had a great time, which we did. As a side note, there are only two rooms, one room, which is a twin room, allows dogs and the other one which has a double bed, does not. They are both cottage style rooms with the doors directly outside, which works very well.

    I was there for work.

I was there for work. If you like mixing in with village locals, then there are good places to stay in Daventry, but there really isn't much to see or do in Daventry. I would recommend the Wheatsheaf in Weedon for what i would call a proper old fashioned pub - welcoming staff, friendly locals and good cold beer and decent home cooked food.

Friendliness ad helpful staff was fantastic.

Friendliness ad helpful staff was fantastic. Some rooms definitely need new pillows and some of the netting is ripped and needs replacing too. If 2 single beds are pushed together they need to be a the same height and maybe a memory fam topper so you can't feel the middle of the bed. It would have been nice to have a small fridge freezer people who bring alternative milks them. The breakfast buffet could have been a lot better. It was cold, greasy and parts were dried out.

Small market town with good range of facilities. There is a wide range of pubs and restaurants and a great cinema. Good range of shops. Sheaf Street has many lovely artisan shops which add to the experience.

Cig burn in net curtain, which looked very dirty, didn’t fit properly either, normal curtain had curtain ring off, we put it back on, lots of dirty marks in different places, stains on the two chairs in room, tea stain on sideboard from previous guest, so hadn’t been cleaned properly as well as tea stain on outside of our cup, bathroom floor hadn’t been mopped, marks on shower screen, and mirror, not good enough for the high price tag we paid, tired looking surfaces too, varnish off in lots of places, have photos too, also had hair in bath

Weedon is a very strange place.

Weedon is a very strange place. The overnight stay at The Heart of England (a Marston Pub) was due to us visiting Bketchley Park for the day, then heading up to County Durham. So the 1 night stay was a stopgap near to the M1. We had dinner at TheCross roads a Chefn Brewer pub. Excellent food n service. Oh strange cos there are several huge antique shopsn a bridal gown shop in the middle of nowhere. The host of our pub said there are several wedding venues surrounding the area...so that explains the bridal shop. But why so many antiques???

Some of the staff there were super friendly and helpful. The reception lady in the leisure facility was very helpful. The pool was great and warm, and the sauna was really relaxing after such a long journey. The hotel colleagues in the breakfast area were super efficient and kept the restaurant spotless. My room was also clean, warm, and comfortable. The shower was super powerful. 👌
