Personally I love these kind of hotels in the country side, and this one was no exception! Is in the middle of the farms, cool people, restaurant downstairs and I slept very well! I also got a soap to take a shower ;). I do recommend the hotel! It was close to Truckfest, like 7 minutes by car. Planty of parking places there.

It was a lovely place to stay room was excellent. Breakfast was one of the better ones I have had whilst staying away from home. I only have a couple of negatives, and they are. There was a dog that barked either in the adjacent room or owners quarters, barked several times, and woke me . Also, although the bed was comfortable. It creaked loudly when getting in and out of bed. Possibly, the bolts needed retightening. But for a one night stay, it was reasonably good.

Although I was working, this hotel is brilliantly placed for exploring the Durham countryside and isn't far from the city or the coast.
Staff were super friendly and answered any questions.
I didn't eat dinner there, but breakfast was really good. Parking was easy and safe, with the possibility of parking right outside the rooms.

Lovely big range with gas hob and all equipment.
Large dining table ideal for big family breakfasts before heading off to explore the area.

We loved the spacious layout of the cottage and stylish furnished rooms . Ideal for big family gatherings. We were 8 people and 2 of us slept on the sofa bed which was very comfortable.

The bed was comfortable, the heating in the room could be controlled to our liking, the shower was lovely and the tea and coffee making facilities had a lot of choice with the addition of biscuits! Breakfast was also lovely both mornings and the staff were friendly.
