Great stay, ideal location for us in between Cotswolds and south wales for walking/hiking, although apart from large Sainsbury’s there’s not much around. All staff were fantastic throughout, from reception, to the bar, & restaurant staff but the spa staff were particularly friendly and lovely. Breakfast was amazing, leisure facilities were fantastic. I don’t often do reviews but overall this was a great stay!

Lovely hotel in a lovely location. The ladies at breakfast were brilliant but the barman Zac was exceptional, a credit to the hotel.

Fantastic city full of history, interesting places to visit, and friendly good humoured people. Rather disappointed to see so many homeless and skint, but no worse than any other town/city 2025.

Gloucester is a historic city in which the cathedral is the clear high point. There are a few good pubs and it looks like the city has done a good job with the quays/canal. I met some interesting and nice people; however, the city centre has certainly seen better days and there are just too many loud and/or angry and/or drunk and/or crazy people wandering around singly or in groups that one would be willing to tolerate. On the plus side, near Gloucester, there are multiple worthwhile places to go in the countryside, e.g., the Cotswolds. If I returned to Gloucester, it would be a jumping off point to the countryside.

    Gloucester is a beautiful city.

Gloucester is a beautiful city. I grew up here as a child before moving back up North, where I was born. I still have friends in Gloucester and visit them once or twice a year. The city centre has changed a lot in my time away from living in Glos. This is a mixture of good and bad, for me. The traditional feel to the city centre is now unfortunately gone. The big, paved area next to Eastgate shopping centre just seems like a waste of space to me. The cathedral remains as beautiful as ever and a a must visit if ever anyone is in the city. I have a lot of find memories of Gloucester and, in a way, it still feels like home every time I visit.

I loved going to Broadway and Bourton on the water during the festive season, been to both before but in summer months, it was truly magical and a trip I will never forget. Loads of lovely quaint shops in both villages and the Chip Shed was very popular in Bourton on the Water for our chip supper. Sadly we only stayed one night but packed a lot in.

I was visiting Gloucester for a business meeting. The road signs are well placed and clear with the infra road structure easy to navigate. The city centre was disappointing, but the quays shopping centre was excellent. The surrounding villages and towns are most enjoyable and a pleasure to visit.

The hotel is well located just outside Gloucester on the main road network between Gloucester and Cheltenham. It has ample parking outside and an attractive modern airy appearance. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. The decor is modern and spacious with a pleasant bar and restaurant area. There is a leisure centre with swimming pool and gym although we did not have the opportunity to try it. Our bedroom was small but well equipped and very clean and comfortable.

Fantastic location right in the centre of Gloucester with parking a short walk away too, the price really was cheaper than budget hotels and the apartment was so clean and homely. The beds were particularly comfy and we loved the top floor so you could use the velux windows to look out. Really can't fault this apartment for value for money and cleanliness will definitely stay again.

Nice, clean hotel with really friendly staff. We had our supper and breakfast at the hotel. Supper was really delicious! We had spa access included with our room booking and we had a really relaxing time there. Lovely location from Gloucester and not far from the Cotswolds.
