A traditional Grade I Georgian manor house, Warbrook House Heritage Hotel provides a secluded and attractive location on the Hampshire/Berkshire border. Free parking is offered.

The grounds were the best part.. although mostly kept as grass nowadays.

Featuring a terrace, restaurant, bar and free WiFi, The New Inn Heckfield is located in Hook, 29 km from Jane Austen's House Museum and 31 km from Frensham Great Pond and Common.

Lots of character, the oldest part of the Inn is 600 years old! And yet it feels fresh and is obviously well cared for

A quiet, secluded hideaway (unfortunately we couldn't explore the grounds for the weather); Sophie and Ed are great and generous hosts, breakfast prepared for us by Sophie, was perfect, even with warm croissants and Bon Mamam conserves!

A small town in the outskirts of Basingstoke with easy access to the motorway. That being said there are many areas for getting out and about with a net work of foot paths which give access to the country side as well as the Kennet and Avon canal tow path

We felt like we were staying with newly found friends in their home and we had got the best bedroom. It started with a very warm welcome and we liked it so much we have already planned our return visit. Loved seeing a very impressive painting actually being painted whilst we watched. If you want a relaxed, comfortable and friendly stay in a country house style hotel, stay here. Don't go if you want endless identical rooms and to be able to party noisily with anonymity.

Hook and Heckfield are beautiful places and i would highly recommend Highfield Park for a good value for money stay and, if you have extra pennies for sheer luxury or a decadent Sunday dinner, try Heckfield Place!!

The hotel is a lovely manor house in Hook in need of money...

The hotel is a lovely manor house in Hook in need of money being spent on the house and grounds to deep clean it and sympathetically restore both the house and the garden structures. At the hotel, there is no room service, no lifts, inadequate directions are given to rooms with no staff to show you to your room, even if only going part way with you. Some stairs are very difficult to climb. The Reception at the Grange, which has further rooms a short drive away from the main house, is at least partly un-manned, and there is no bar or restaurant, and only a small vending machine there. No mini bar and no drinking water offered in rooms. An unmanned reception at the Grange (at least from 9pm onwards on the day we stayed, a Saturday). No help available for luggage. Steps to the Main House main entrance and Reception. A tripping hazard at the main entrance (door mat recess edge at entrance), which was unmarked, was notified (on arrival) but had not addressed by the time we left. No room service or room surveys available. Breakfasts are self service in a tiny room, with the dining room to the side of this. This small dining room was hot and with only a few tables, some of which you would need to share with others. No table service or assistance offered for the elderly or disabled, or a person with young children. A beautiful old house and gardens in desperate need of a good clean, love, and repair and sympathetic restoration. The gardens are nice, but we did not visit Hook itself.

Hook strikes us a very pleasant, walkable place. Everything is within a very short walk. Plenty of grocery stores, shops, and restaurants within easy reach. The folks here have a high quality of life.

There are no supermarkets or main store chains i.e. Next M&S, Boots, Superdrug. Parking in main carpark free for first 1.30mins - great. Not a lot of choice re cafés. Need more clothes shops and didn't come across any charity shops?!!!

Working local and paid the extra to stay in what looked like a Grand place but was disappointed. There were 2 other work colleges staying at the hotel at the time and so my following comments are backed by them as well. For the money the rooms were small, the double bed was at best a large single, the bed moved when I am rolling over, the small niceties, that accompany even the worst hotels that I have been in, where not there. Would not go back.
