Heathrow, a Heath and Stately Homes

Set in the nearest London Borough to Heathrow Airport, Hounslow hotels and guest houses on Booking.com are understandably a popular choice for those flying in and out of the UK’s busiest airport. However, there are more reasons to stay here than just this.

Hounslow Heath has a nature reserve and golf course, and to the north in the Osterley suburb is the National Trust-operated Osterley Park with its stately home and gardens. South-east of here is Syon House, while Hanworth Park House is in the Feltham district, home to just some of the hotels near Heathrow Terminal 4. Also close by is the wildlife haven that is Bedfont Lakes Country Park.

There are also 2 smaller parks in the Cranford district, near the Bath Road which passes the road leading to Heathrow Terminals 1-3. Most hotels near Heathrow on this road are served by an airport shuttle which offers transfers to all 5 terminals. Located at the opposite end of the airport to Hounslow, Terminal 5 is the newest and most state of the art, and has its own station on the London Underground.

All Heathrow Airport stations are on the Piccadilly Line and offer fast connections to the 3 Tube stations in Hounslow itself, and beyond to central London.

I often stay in Hounslow as it is very close to Heathrow. I often stay in Hounslow when arriving on a late flight, or leaving on an earlier flight. It has all the facilities of a town centre, such as shops, banks, places to eat, etc.

I was absolutely appalled by my stay at this miserable hotel. The beds were a nightmare - imagine sleeping on a wooden plank with a paper-thin mattress that guaranteed zero comfort and maximum back pain. The room was so tiny and claustrophobic that I felt like I was trapped in a closet, with zero wardrobe space and barely enough room to move. To make matters worse, there was no drinking water provided, and when I asked for a bottle, they had the audacity to charge me 4 pounds! The entire experience was a complete disaster, and I would strongly advise anyone to avoid this place like the plague. Hands down the worst hotel I've ever had the misfortune of staying in.

There was a spacious living room and kitchenette, the family liked to gather there. Lighting was very good, had a nice balcony with a good view of the road. It was a more modern apartment with more spacious rooms and not the small and tight spaces that London is known for. The bus stop is a few steps from the property and getting to the London Underground was easy.... Hounslow central Station in one direction and Hounslow West in the other direction.

During my stay the room next door had as couple in that had issues, the hotel ended up calling in the police to sort out the issue, on departing the hotel I asked for a discount as I felt very uncomfortable in the hotel. I do not mind that the hotel houses refugees, but they need to advertise this. I am not waiting for a discount from the hotel for my stay.

London Heathrow international airport is far from the city centre. It is suggested to stay in a nearest hotel to the airport like this Ibis hotel, specially when you reach London (Hounslow) Heathrow airport in the night with family.

Everything was perfect! Aparmtent has everything you need! The apartment is fully equipped and comes with everything you need for your stay! It is beautifully decorated and so clean! I had the absolute pleasure of meeting the host/owner, he was so friendly and accommodating, went above and beyond to help us. I would highly recommend this apartment, much nicer than any hotel I have stayed in and I will definitely be back! Best place to stay to be close to Central London and Heathrow. Thanks again for my lovely stay!

For the price I paid the hotel was very good, slightly dated but clean enough and comfortable room with plenty of space and good sized bathroom. Well located if arriving by public transport (Hounslow Central tube a short walk away) with a small but expensive car park. Very close to the centre of Hounslow, which is a much improved town, with a good range of shops and plenty of food outlets including a very good 'street food' complex.

Nice small room in Hounslow, close to Heathrow airport - the only reason to stay in this area is if you got an early flight like I did. The room is London sized aka small (couldnt even open the toilet door fully as the door hit the bed), but its close to the tube station on Picadilly line, its comfy, its much cheaper than central London - what more would you want :-)

Easy access to Heathrow Terminal 5, Direct Night buses as well. Easy connectivity via buses to Southall. Hounslow West (underground Station) is near by so most of the London is then reachable. There is a shop near by for essentials. Bus Stop is right next to the Hotel barely 2 mins, perfect location! Stayed with family for a night was perfect.

Vicinity to London Heathrow and 15 minute walk to Hounslow Central Station. Wasn't there long enough to fully assess the hotel and facilities.
