The location was perfect for our visit to Glentress Forest. The breakfast was great. Loved the toiletries in the bathroom. The check in was smooth and we were made to feel very welcome by all the staff and locals in the bar.

Clean rooms, comfy beds. Staff were lovely,
Plenty of tea / coffee in the room.
Good value.
We ate mostly at the Traquair Arms Hotel for bar food.
We ate mostly at the Traquair Arms Hotel for bar food. Range of food on offer was good with additional daily courses given on the chalk board. Loved the desserts!
The coffee shop at Findra on the High Street was had a relaxed and very friendly feel, with good coffee and scones.
Innerleithen is an excellent centre in the lovely Tweed valley for visiting the Borders, although having a car (or a bike!) helps.

Recommend Caddon View Guest House.
Recommend Caddon View Guest House. Innerleithen would be a lovely holiday destination - an interesting small town with lots of shops and gift shops to explore, local country walks, cycle hire, lovely restaurant at the Traquair Arms. A highlight for me was a visit to Kailzie Gardens just a 10 minute drive. This has an amazing walled garden (17ft high walls) with herbaceous borders, glasshouses, a flower cutting garden, veggie garden and wonderful arboretum for walks and picnics. Also a courtyard garden, putting green, trout fishing and a fishing pond for children. Visit for a day or afternoon for walks and lunch. See their website for holiday accommodation (with secure bike storage for cyclists).

Good location with regular bus services.
Good location with regular bus services. Good location to travel to and from by car.
Not alot of places to choose from to dine in and the one pub offering food can be abit pricey but they've a captive audience.
Plenty of takeaways if that's your thing. Also a supermarket to buy daily supplies.
Leave your car and use the regular bus service to other local places.
Traquair House is a must place to see and they do excellent lunches.
Be aware that a lot of kitchens in local towns stop food at 3pm. You will be able to get coffee and cake in some at that time

It's an ideal place for exploring the countryside. Lots of good walks around and beautiful scenery. A few local shops and pubs and not far from Peebles which has a larger variety of shops.
Everyone was very welcoming and friendly.

Most charming small town I have visited in Scotland.
Most charming small town I have visited in Scotland. Everything is very intimate in a sense that you have exactly what you need - couple of restaurants, a few shops and lovely people. There is a charming coffee on the main road with the nicest staff. The town itself feels like home even to an outsider.

It's a small cottage on the main road of Innerleithen. The bedroom is at the front, but it is so quiet at night that we could have the window open. The property is very clean and well equipped, just big enough for 2 people, 3 would be quite tight. Bed comfortable. Underfloor heating in bathroom, nice! Good shower. Owners live above the property, family also next door.
Hot tub a few steps away from the backdoor.
It's near the shops. Hiking and biking country.
The location is accessible to the nearby town of Innerleithen. Yet set amongst the back drop of the Scottish mountains and forest. There are walks within the grounds that are just beautiful. The majestic fir trees around the grounds make it quite magical. Host were helpful throughout the stay and little touches in the property made it special. This lodge and surroundings are truly unique and make it an ideal family get away.
Very clean and friendly staff. Great location in the middle of Innerleithen. We stayed in the "small double room" - the room was a lot bigger than I expected and far from small, the bathroom was very clean and modern with a good, powerful shower. The bike storage was safe and secure, under lock and key along with the beer kegs! Plenty of parking spaces available. I would definitely stay here again.
The property was in a beautiful location ,only a few minutes walk into Innerleithen Main Street. The breakfast was superb and the hosts were extremely welcoming and helpful. It was like home from home. We'll certainly return again.
Very pleasant staff with good food and bar.
Hotel is very popular with the mountain biking community, so very busy with guests from all over Europe. Hence very lively.
