Location. Cleanliness. Value
The staff were lovely and very accommodating. The room was basic but absolutely spotless. Very clean. Bedding spotless. Bathroom very clean. We only slept there before a bowling tournament so we left at 8am and didn't have breakfast. It was perfect for us and great value.

This was my third time at the Gilson. Every stay has been great. The staff are very helpful, the rooms are always comfortable and clean, and the location is the best in Hull. The train station is only a 2 minutes walk from the hotel, a Wetherspoons is across the street and the museums are only about 10 minutes away.

The place was spotless. Everything seemed new, bathroom was excellent, rainfall shower. The shared kitchen was way better than expected. Fully stocked with tea coffee etc. Comfy chairs, sofa and also a large table. We only made ourselves a coffee as there's no kettle in the room. Never saw anyone else whilst stopping but heard the occasional footsteps during quiet hours. Would definitely stop again.

Hull is one of my favourite places to stay and visit. Everything is within walking distance from the bus/train station. The marina just at the back of Princes Quay is absolutely beautiful, with boats of all sizes. In summary Hull appeals to travellers with a wide variety of activities and sightseeing options.

Customer service not the best unfortunately, as my wife and I arrived straight after a rugby match we were not greeted or spoken to the same as other people dressed differently sadly. Booked breakfast through my app as an upgrade for a certain price, however ,when we went to breakfast we were going to charged £10 more because we were paying on the day which we decided to decline as why should we pay more?

We visit Hull quite often, mainly to go to music venues, and have always enjoyed our visits. There’s some great small venues there, such as The Polar Bear, The Welly and The New Adelphi. We always go early and have a walk round the Old town, where there is some fantastic pubs and a great atmosphere. There’s plenty of good places to eat and take aways etc

The Old Town is particularly interesting with many historic buildings and stories . Fascinating connection to King Henry 8th . Try to find the smallest window in England !!!
Many great museums to visit and the marina and riverside are bustling with good eateries, craft beers etc😋

Yeah Hull was fine, I didn't get attacked with a hammer or anything in a chip shop, so that's always a bonus (joking)

Some interesting and fascinating buildings and museums.
Some interesting and fascinating buildings and museums. A pleasant waterfront area with a nice vibe.
Disappointing to see a large area of the city is still being dug-up and the renovation of the Maritime Museum/Corsair is taking so long.
The Whittington and Cat is a great friendly pub serving lovely food and is reasonably priced

1 night stay - very well located close to Minster the City Centre and Marina - some difficulties finding the property due to extensive road works and road closures - ground floor flat - equipped kitchen - reasonably comfortable sofa - dining area - large TV - bedroom with hanging and drawer space - comfy bed - quiet - shower over bath - parking in secure area about 200 yards from property - double yellow lines on streets around development - well priced for an overnight stay compared to chain hotels - thank you
This pub was conveniently located at Hull marina, and just a short walk from the city centre. Although breakfast is not provided, the Greggs bakery right behind the pub is handy for sausage bap and a cuppa. Rooms are impeccably clean and presented and toiletries are provided. They serve meals at lunch and dinner time. We had fish and chips and it was superb! Parking is provided on the retail park at no cost, staff are very helpful and friendly. All in all a great place to stay.
The apartment was clean, comfortable, modern and well-equipped. The view of the marina from the front was great. The location provided easy access to the city centre on foot.
The staff are pleasant and the breakfast is good overall it’s cheaper than some of its competitors the hotel has plenty of parking and is east of hull.
