Whilst the high street does feel a little tired, it is refreshing to see so many independent stores and not corporate franchises everywhere. Crazy, but there were even staff in the arcades who were super friendly and helpful. The beach is gorgeous (if not the north sea). Mablethorpe remains a real throwback to the 80s and gives off strong vibes of wonderful memories from family holidays taken years ago.

A clean and long beach with lots of lovely beach huts to hire- Queens Park and The Beck are nice to visit. Plenty of local shops if staying in a caravan. Lots of nearby places to drive to eg Sutton on Sea, Anderby Creek and Skegness.

As a long-time admirer of Mablethorpe, I can't recommend this charming coastal town enough. It has everything you could ask for in a seaside retreat—beautiful sandy beaches, family-friendly activities, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere that feels like home. Whether you're enjoying a peaceful walk along the shore, exploring the bustling promenade, or visiting the nearby nature reserves, there's always something to discover. From the traditional fish and chips shops to the quirky little cafes, the culinary delights here are a treat. The Seal Sanctuary is a must-visit for animal lovers, and there's plenty of entertainment for kids, making it the perfect destination for families. Mablethorpe's blend of relaxation and excitement keeps me coming back year after year, and I'm always finding new reasons to fall in love with it all over again!

Mablethorpe in winter is like stepping into a Hallmark film, everyone was so nice and chatty. The beach is very long, the sand is fine and there are several fish & chip shop to choose from. By the end of it, I was half expecting to be roped into saving the Helicopter pad for the air ambulance and being proposed to by a charming but recluse local. Almost everything (including Boots) was shut on Sunday though.

Lots of childhood memories of Trusthorpe and so enjoyed visiting the place again. Trusthorpe not far to get into Mablethorpe or Sutton on sea too. Enjoyed the circus at Trusthorpe! Shame no shops in Trusville or near it. Also a shame the swimming pool has gone at Trusville as well as the shop. But plenty to do in Mablethorpe and Sutton on sea and the circus was amazing. Also enjoyed visiting the Seal Sanctuary. Buses easy to catch as well if you get tired of walking. Some nice places to eat and drink too.
