Located in Crail, 12 km from St Andrews Bay, The Golf Hotel provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Very good small touches, eg bowl of fresh strawberries at breakfast, help of staff in returning a key that I'd taken from a previous hotel in error.

Set in 120 acres of scenic Fife countryside, Kilconquhar Castle Estate features a heated indoor swimming pool and horse riding facilities.

Lodges well placed, plenty of outdoor space around own lodge. Quite central location to explore nearby attractions . Horseriding on site. When we did eat in the restaurant the food was beautiful and good value.

Situated in Anstruther, a few steps from Billow Ness Beach, Murray Library Hostel features rooms with sea views and free WiFi. The property is non-smoking and is set 14 km from St Andrews Bay.

The location was just the best. We had a brilliant view of the harbour and binoculars were provided for even more exploring. We arrived early and Darius kindly let us check in. The room was well laid out, quirky, very clean with comfortable beds. The separate toilet and shower were spotless. The kitchen area was large and the layout of the table and seating made it very sociable. There were games in the library and additional toilet facilities on the ground floor. We also received towels even though we had brought our own.

Characterful working fishing harbour with attractive buildings. Well stocked Village shop/Post Office with cash withdrawl facilities. 3 good Eating places in walking distance though only 1 open in evening at time we stayed. Harbourside Bar/Fish Restaurant very friendly with excellent range of cooked to order mainly Fish dishes. Good coastal paths North & South, Easy walk to Anstruther which has good Museum and many other facilities. Good network of lanes from Main Road level to Harbourside but quite a lot of steps for those less mobile - handrails on most lanes though.

Lovely fishing village. On Fife coastal pathway.

Lovely fishing village. On Fife coastal pathway. Two lovely restaurants, a Bistro and a Chippy down by the harbour. Good walks both east to Anstruther(where in the summer there are boat trips to the Isle of May) and Crail, and West to St Monans where there is are an historical windmill and salt pans. Good base for St Andrews.

Pittenweem is located in the East Neuk area of Fife which has plenty of opportunity to enjoy outdoor and indoor activities. We enjoyed walking, seeing the harbour, local food (chippy, bistro and cafes), local farm shops, art shops and galleries, other local towns and villages, distillery etc….. even the Fife weather was enjoyed ( we wanted some wind, rain and rainbows 😁)

A very quiet area with a lovely small harbour and very friendly residents living there. We visited a pub/restaurant called the Chip Ahoy @ Larachmhor and the fish and chips were lovely. Also the employee was Irish and we had a great chat with him and he was able to tell us about different walks around the area.
