Love Poole and lovely place to explore and look around.

Love Poole and lovely place to explore and look around. Went here as a kid a lot and still feels at home as an adult. Lovely restaurants on the Quay. We ate at Rockfish and Pi Pizza and rank in the Poole Arms and The Portsmouth Hoy which can highly recommend. The 70 min Harbour tour is a must, as is a visit to Compton Acres. We walked 3 miles to get there and lovely walk along the front and past lovely big houses in Lillput.

Poole is perfect for parking up the car or travelling by train for a relaxed break. Stayed central on the High Street, lots to see and plenty of choice for self catering or eating out. Would recommend the Harbour boat tour. Lots of live music in the pubs too.

Poole has a lovely harbour with fishing, day trip and million pound boats. Good choice of restaurants. The shops in the town are thriving and it is a good base to visit Poole Park, Sandbanks, Compton Acres, various Chines, Bournemouth, Christchurch etc.

It was my home as a youngster and has a tremendous range of attractions within easy driving distance. The Georgian part of the town has always been a favourite as is the Purbecks. A car ferry gets you there quickly from the Sandbanks Peninsula and from Studland you can drive easily to Corfe Castle and Swanage. If you take a longer journey back to Poole you will then go past Wareham. Why not visit the bird sanctuary at Arne or take in a river trip in the spring and summer from Poole Harbour.. There are many good eating places close to the apartment my favourites being Nusra (Thai food), The Poole Arms on the Quay for great fish at reasonable prices and the Old Guildhall Tavern.

Harbour is always worth a stroll.

Harbour is always worth a stroll. Little quiet but we were well out of season however, plenty of places to eat and drink. Retail therapy is fine and it is a great place to explore Swanage, Bournemouth, Christchurch, Lymington, Sandbanks etc

Nice Christmas lights around Poole, and the local beach nearest the accommodation looked like a great place to visit in the summer. Loved Brownsea Island and the Bournemouth Winter wonderland lights. Free entry to the lights make it accessible for everyone. Well done to all the area councils for putting on free festive things to see and do. Live music and a great atmosphere.

The staff were very friendly, in particular Thea who served us breakfast. The lady at the reception desk was also helpful when listening to our concerns about our room. The location was great for going to the beach and visiting Poole, Bournemouth and Sandbanks. Food at the hotel was delicious.

The location is stunning, we booked sea view, with balcony which is the best rooms to have at this location. Room & bed both large & comfortable. Easy access to Swanage, Bournemouth & Poole. The food at the hotel is excellent if a little limited

It was a very clean hotel. Breakfast was nice, mushrooms would have been a good addition. Lovely chef and young girl - both very polite. Close to Poole Park abd can walk there just turn left out the hotel along the path.

Of all the Hotel Du Vins we stay in this is one of our favourites. It is a lovely building, excellent rooms, friendly staff. Close to the quay and some nice restaurants.

Always stay here when in Poole. This time had early checkout and the hotel provided us with take out breakfast. Absolutely excellent.
