The owner, Martyn, met us when we arrived , offered to help us with our luggage - which was nice given the steep steps up to the room. He also gave us a little tour of the property and offered a number of good suggestions for local restaurants. He provided milk for tea/coffee and some fruit - nice touches. We had several delightful conversations with him over our stay that we very much enjoyed. He had good advice for local destinations and was very accommodating when we had delays in our itinerary. He was also good about communication prior to our arrival. The location was exceptional, within easy walking distance of everything and very convenient. We were on the 3rd floor and had a great view of the town and harbor from our top floor window.

The Sail Loft was very nice, exceptionally clean, nice sheets, towels, etc. It is in a great location just up the road from the heart of the village. The view was beautiful. The owner pays to have the windows kept sparkling clean.

Port Isaac was just perfect for a relaxed long weekend break and a great location to visit all of the delights of Cornwall. You can park a few hundred yards away in a public car park for £15 for the week

Great location. Beautiful appartment, clean and spacious.
Great location. Beautiful appartment, clean and spacious. Bed was absolutley comfortable. The only problem we had, there were only two channels on the tv and the front door was a bit fiddly. The Cornish cove cafe is the best place to get breakfast, the owners are so friendly and funny..and they've been on the telly 😀.

Despite the weather (Storm Bert prevailed!!), it's a lovely town and a very good place for wandering around—very quirky and interesting. Parking was a good 15-minute walk away which was a hassle but manageable!
Nathan Outlaws Fish Restaurant was fantastic. We also had lunch at The Mote - which was very good, excellent homemade soup and crab - and supper in the hotel - which was unfortunately mediocre and expensive.

Port Isaac is quite lovely and full of interest .
Port Isaac is quite lovely and full of interest .
The Restaurants are plentiful and mainly of good quality - even if a little expensive !
The ' Doc Martin ' and ' Poldark ' connection are essential to it's continued success .
Car Parking however is a bit of a problem . Prepare to walk some distance from the Car Parks outside the village !

Lovely little village.
Lovely little village. Definitely need walking shoes as it’s very hilly.
Visited the Golden Lion for dinner which was gorgeous. Had a table overlooking the bay and delicious food. Dinner the following evening was in the Old School House, which was a good meal but not such a good atmosphere and no sea views. Still felt like you were in a school.
We caught the bus to Wadebridge which took us round the coast. Far better than taking the car as we got to see the beautiful scenery.

The scenery in Port Isaac is beautiful and changes by the hour as the tide comes in and out.
Ample pubs and restaurants, but never seemed too crowded.
Easy to get around the village, and our Walk and Talk tour was all inclusive.
We were pleasantly surprised by a marching band to entertain us, and the ultimate surprise was a casual concert by Fisherman’s Friends!
Lots of young families and all other age groups.
The people in the village are so friendly!

Lovely hotel, quiet location right by the sea. All the staff were friendly & helpful. The hotel restaurant is excellent, we thoroughly enjoyed breakfast there every day and had a delicious evening meal one night. There is another restaurant a 1 minute walk away and Port Isaac is only a 10 minute walk away (up a steepish hill).
This is a great little hotel right in the heart of Port Isaac. We stayed so that we could have dinner at Fish Kitchen nearby. The staff were excellent and extremely accommodating when I wanted to switch rooms. We didn't eat at the hotel but the food, as we passed through, looked fantastic.
Beautiful spot near Port Isaac & Port Gaverne. Perfect to head out walking & beaches nearby. The bed was very comfortable & it was lovely seeing what the goats, chickens & guinea fowl were up to.
