With a dramatic location on the cliffs and spectacular views out over the sea, the White Horse Hotel is located on the edge of the South Downs, just 3.1 mi from Brighton.

The first thing that I noticed was this establishment is extremely well kept and everything is pristine Lovely location right on the sea front. The staff were very welcoming. There is parking on site. I had breakfast which was very good I would definitely recommend this hotel

Located in central Brighton, the refurbished New Steine Hotel - B&B is set in a 5-story Georgian townhouse and offers contemporary accommodations with free WiFi access throughout the property.

Great location - walking distance from town centre and the beach, easy to find. Staff was polite and friendly, room was just as described - having shower in the room is a great addition as you only 'share' a toilet which is on a hallway and you get your key for it. There is a choice of breakfast from the menu which is prepared fresh using local produce so that's a big plus! Everything was clean.

A lovely area with plenty to do - just down the coast from the bustle of Brighton and Worthing. Great beach and seaside town with plenty of independent shops to explore - also ideal if you want a base to go hiking in the Sussex countryside.

    An exceptional hotel.

An exceptional hotel. From the moment you step through the doors you know that this hotel is special. That impression remains throughout the stay. The rooms, the staff, the food and the service are 5 star. We have stayed in many hotels around the country, and The White Horses is up there with the best. Well done and thank you to all involved for our wonderful stay.

White Horses is superb to stay. Right on the sea front. The village is a lovely place to wander round, with historical buildings to see. Walking the underpass to Saltdean Lido is so nice and either a swim in the heated pool or a coffee in the cafe ot visit the restaurant. or you can walk to the Marina,or catch a bus to the pier and wander round the Lanes

    SUPERB In every way.

SUPERB In every way. Also, the Food, Chicken Dish was Magnificent. Staff were Magnificent too, they looked after us extremely well. We stayed in in 9 Hotels on the trip, The White Horses and another one stood out, head and shoulders above the rest. We would love to come back for a longer stay next time.

The setting of the White Horses was perfect!

The setting of the White Horses was perfect! 2 minutes walk to a great walk right by the sea for miles if you wish! There is a small concert area by the hotel, where we sat and listened to a flute and percussion band for part of Sunday afternoon, a treat! We had a great sunday lunch, followed by a gentle walk, then as sun set, comfortable chairs outside with a beer. The village is historic- Kipling gardens are beautiful and worth a visit. Lots of cafes, the library often has art displays. Plenty of old buildings to see- lovely genuine village.

Rottingdean is a small and pretty seaside town that was a perfect size for our break. The town is quite compact, with shops, restaurants/bars and cafes all in easy walking distance of the centre. There are good walks along the cliff tops and the promenade, and at low tide it is also possible to walk to other neighbouring towns such as Peacehaven along the beach. The town is on the bus route into Brighton and it is also easy to drive into Brighton along the sea front. It is equally a very short distance to the South Downs, so Rottingdean is also an ideal location for those wishing to do some more serious walking as well as seaside activities.

The hosts were very friendly and a lovely couple. The accommodation is close to the sea and cliffs and provides a lovely walk towards Rottingdean and Brighton. The room on the first floor was nice and kept quite cool during the hot weather.
