The staff were superb.
The vegan breakfast was just the best with great care taken that there was no cross-contamination.
Comfortable bed.

The breakfast was excellent freshly prepared and set us up for our next drive to Highlands of Scotland. The meet and greet and welcome pot of tea was really appreciated we had had an awful journey up the A1.

Great place to stay whilst exploring Yorkshire, Durham and Teesside. Good ammeties and car parking. Excellent breakfast and Italian restaurant for evening dining. Well stocked bar with plenty of seating. Good conference facilities and a great place for parties. The staff are excellent and make the stay especially pleasant. Weekdays are cheaper than weekends.

Location excellent for overnight stays to break journey and adjacent to A1 junction. Had evening meal in near by village at 400 year old pub, “Shoulder of Mutton”, food excellent and only couple of miles away. Hotel right by motorway junction. Called again at this pub for late lunch on our return from Scotland.

Disappointing, awoken by unaccompanied dogs in a nearby room barkign relentlessly, with staff seeming disinterested to resolve until challenged, and even then were slow and reluctant to resolve.
A promised refund when checkign out early due to the above did not materialise, and even after approx. a week of to/fro' emails with the Hotel Manager the agreement was rescinded upon and only a 50% refund provided.

It is a lovely holiday and friendly.
It is a lovely holiday and friendly. The only thing I didn't like was the set menu we booked half board . There were pizza burgers pasta. I asked to look at the normal menu that wasn't given to us .normally you have a option to pay extra for upgrades. The waitress said she didn't know if I could would ask I felt a bit embarrassed. She came back said yes but to pay extra if more expensive. I picked steak and a starter which I paid the difference it was a nice meal. My daughter had the pizza that was the size of a sharer to big for one person she was over face .grandsons soup came out must if been in the microwave it was smoking hot the poorly little thing was hungry wouldn't give a child anything that hot his pasta also to hot the kids menu was OK but again got adult size portions . So they need to work on kiddies potions and also to give a child food that hot really dangous . Overall food i would give a 6 out of 10 .Breakfast buffet style was lovely great variety really lovely.

Reasonable price, clean, easy to find.
Reasonable price, clean, easy to find. Helpful staff when you could find them, poor lighting in room for makeup. No staff at pool so couldn’t use, even though I checked on phone in advance. Good iron, ironing board and room fridge. Was able to get additional teabags and milk. Recommended local taxi company Tony’s were great.

Room was very good, some high dusting would be good. The staff were very helpful and polite. The breakfast was very good. Our dinners were also lovely.
However, setting for lunch/dinner one of the waiting staff needs training in NOT to put her fingers inthe "clean" water glasses, and how to handle setting of cutlery properly, ie to use handles and not part of the utensil you woul put in your mouth. We are retired hoteliers and notice these awful mistakes regularly.
We arrived there on the day but my wife had tested positiive for covid that day so it was not fair on the hotel to stay there. The way booker.com handles problems is abysmal. The hotel itself would have refunded my money but as you are the booking agent they could do that without your permission
Great hôtel. Spotless. Breaks up journée from Scotland to south of England. Good value. Nice swim. Only criticism would be the restaurant- s little overpriced for the standard of the dishes.
