The location was great with access to the Cumbrian fells quite literally out the back. Our room was a very good size with a huge double bed which was very comfortable. The bathroom had both a bath and seperate shower with good water pressure. A good choice of breakfasts and the evening meals were all reasonably priced. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Ideal location for the Coast to Coast walk too.

We loved the warm welcome, the new barman was particularly lovely, the chef was great - the Greek pizza on specials menu was delicious. All staff friendly making our stay easy and the continental breakfast was good, inc fruit and cereal.

Absolutely outstanding, stunning !! So quirky but homely. Decorated to an immaculate standard Love it. Comfy big bed. So peaceful, hospitality incredible. Food omg Penny is a fabulous cook. Dinner and breakfast YUM !! Not enough words to express how fabulous this wee gem is ! A great find and will definitely be back.
