Really liked this stylish & comfortable hotel in the perfect location for exploring Sherborne & just a very short walk from the long stay car park. The room was well-equipped, the breakfast was excellent - great choices, fresh ingredients & proper coffee - and the staff & service were top notch, so friendly, welcoming & efficient. We'll book here again.

Bedroom was very spacious and all very comfortable, bit of road noise which was excessive at times.
Room service was very poor.
Restaurant breakfast was very good although not much choice for the evening meal!

Really enjoyed the breakfast. Excellent. The problem I had was that in the evening we had dinner there. We thought that it was particularly sparse with choice and the amount. We eat a la carte quite a lot but never so meagre with portions. Also I asked for a sparking wine in the bar after and found out that the bottle had been opened the previous day and it basically was flat. So I didn't have it as they refused to open a new one. Again I have been places and they are very happy to open a fresh one. I think they should introduce the smaller bottles with choice of rose as well. The food at breakfast was extremely good and plentiful. The rooms very good and comfortable. Everything else was excellent. Wouldn't recommend the dinner.

Sherborne town is a few miles from Munden House. Car parking was inexpensive at £1.50 for 2 hours. A good selection of shops. We found a lovely coffee house off a side street close to Fired Earth at the bottom of the town which also served as a delicatessen.

Friendly people, a good choice of shops in a fairly flat location. The Abbey, with all of its history, was well worth a look. Some nice pubs offering good food like the Half Moon, a 'locals' pub with nice staff and a welcoming atmosphere just across from the Abbey. The Castle Gardens garden centre was also enjoyable with a cafe serving fantastic cake.

Yes Sherborne is lovely, and well looked after,
We have been coming for well over 25 yrs, and it is a shame that a lot of the shops have closed down . That will not stop us coming back ..
We find that parking in Sherborne even when busy is still easy to find as we are both Disabled .

Sherbourne is a beautiful town with lots of lovely buildings and independent shops. It's not a huge town but it's nice going somewhere that has a variety of shops rather than the usual ones you find on the high street.

We were travelling on to Devon, and the Kings Arms was well situated for a stop on route. We didn't actually go into Sherborne itself, but the countryside around is really beautiful with some lovely quaint villages.

I enjoyed my visit to both castles, but though the gardens of the new castle were great I was dissapointed that the castle itself was closed.
I thought Sherbourne was a good place to visit, there was the Abbey with a free tour which was nice, and the museum.
People were friendly and helpfull.

An excellent hotel! Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely rooms, bar and lounge area. Both dinner and breakfast were outstanding. I was traveling for business but would happily return for leisure.
We always stay at the Eastbury when visiting Sherborne and we’re never disappointed. The garden rooms are exceptional, the spa treatments fantastic, and the breakfast sumptuous.
