Offering a garden and garden view, Sturry House is located in Sturry, 4.9 km from Canterbury Cathedral and 5.6 km from Canterbury West Train Station.

The owner rents out a single and a double bed room which are located on the second floor. I stayed in the double bed room. The beds were very comfortable and everything was clean and tidy. The house is located in a quiet residential area, 10 minutes away from the train station on foot. Canterbury was a short 4-minute train ride away. The host answered my questions fairly quickly.

In the private and peaceful grounds of Canterbury Cathedral, this stylish lodge offers free Wi-Fi, hearty breakfasts and scenic views. Canterbury’s historic centre is a 2-minute walk away.

Great location within the Cathedral precinct. We booked parking for £10 per night which was well worth it. Entrance to the cathedral (normally £19.50) included as part of the stay. Very comprehensive selection at breakfast which was served at the table. Lots of places to eat within a few minutes walk, some of which give a discount from staying at the Lodge. Room fine but not much storage space, however there was a fridge etc and opening windows for fresh air.

I travelled into & out of Canterbury every day - it's only a few miles away. I'm a real-ale enthusiast, so it was handy for visiting The Golden Lion tavern in nearby Broad Oak, & the 14th-century Ye Olde Yew Tree tavern down a wooded lane in Westbere.

Well, Sturry isn't really a destination in itself!

Well, Sturry isn't really a destination in itself! But it's well placed for Canterbury and Herne Bay, and a good stopover place if you're going further, maybe even if you're going to France via EuroTunnel.
