Loved the quiet location and surrounding area by the Canal. All staff we met were very friendly, helpful, efficient and smart. Bed very comfy and great nights sleep. Loved the decor in the communal area and sofas in the bar area. Breakfast was tasty and hot. Plenty of parking.

The middle bedroom was fine, no complaints. The front bedrooms mattress was very uncomfortable, the back bedroom had an odd unpleasant smell and the pillows smelt of sweat, the one pillow was very lumpy and uncomfortable so this was not used, due to this the guest in this room did not have a good nights sleep at all. The bedding was definitely laundered which means that it was the pillows that were the problem, I would suggest these are disposed of. The following day we found some clean pillow cases in the middle bedroom cupboard, these smelled nicely laundered so we added two extra
Pillow cases to the pillow, this helped reduce the odour somewhat, a better nights sleep was had.
The tea towel in the kitchen also had an unpleasant smell to it and didn’t appear to have been laundered.
The house looked lovely when we walked in but on closer inspection we were quite disappointed.

We liked our room. Happy with the size, the comfort of the bed, the bathroom, good shower.
Staff were friendly. Food in the brasserie was okay, the chocolate brownie was really yummy though.

Waste of time to stay - go for the day to play golf but do not stay hotel was grubby - too busy and service was very poor. We wont ever ben returning. Our friends are big golfers and I will recommend the same to them to not waste their time staying there. would rather stay at a premier inn and know what I am getting for my money.

We enjoyed our 1 night stay after an early flight into Birmingham. Host was friendly and helpful. Rooms are extremely clean and beds are so comfy with soft bed linen that smelt beautiful, didn’t want to get out of bed.
We would definitely stay again when visiting Sutton Coldfield

We had travelled from Wales to Sutton - our home town.
We had travelled from Wales to Sutton - our home town.
Sutton town centre itself has gone down the pan so much it was not good to see. If you are looking to go shopping there is not very much shop wise that is worth going to. We won't be back sadly.
If you want a good meal it is worth going to Boldmere just outside Sutton where there are plenty of eateries of all kinds. We would highly recommend the Shaban for absolutely excellent Indian food and service.
Sutton Park was still a lovely place to go for a coffee and long walk at Bracebridge.

Sutton is a lovely town with its beautiful park complete with wild ponies. There are some great restaurants in town and plenty of historically interesting sites, especially for Tudor period history buffs. It’s also close to Birmingham city centre which is easy to get to via the trainline

Our visit was purely to attend a family wedding, the wedding was fantastic and the couple did seem happy with the hotels assistance. The facilities for us as only used briefly were good, all staff interactions were good.

Room had door that opened onto courtyard which was great. Dog friendly hotel (but had to pay extra £20 for the night which is a bit steep on top of £105 we paid for 1 nights stay - I'd say this should be a £60 a night rate max not over £100)
Good location off the M42. Nice hot powerful shower. Next to canal for walks. Breakfast was OK (a hash brown and black pudding would have been great to see on the full English though). Friendly helpful staff. Large bedroom.
The actual grounds were beautiful, the room was a good size&we loved the view over the golf course..(superior room 2528) there hotel is VERY busy, especially with the gold club being run from there too.But the staff were brilliant. The chandelier upon entry is a fabulous touch too!The tea, coffee and extra touches in the room were also brilliant x
