The staff were welcoming and helpful. However, the overall experience felt more like a budget hotel experience. The beds were not very comfortable; the restaurant menu was very shallow for a 4-star rated hotel; the noise from the shooting club was quite loud and disturbing for a lie-in after taking the option for a late check-out; family room had no main light; fridge in the family room was not working; shower in the double room was smooth & slippery and making a noise when stepped on; and furniture in both rooms looked generally worn out and in need of an update. Even the outside gardens did not look well maintained. Location is fantastic but the facility could use a major update to remain competitive and a value for money spend for customers.

Waste of time to stay - go for the day to play golf but do not stay hotel was grubby - too busy and service was very poor. We wont ever ben returning. Our friends are big golfers and I will recommend the same to them to not waste their time staying there. would rather stay at a premier inn and know what I am getting for my money.

We enjoyed our 1 night stay after an early flight into Birmingham. Host was friendly and helpful. Rooms are extremely clean and beds are so comfy with soft bed linen that smelt beautiful, didn’t want to get out of bed.
We would definitely stay again when visiting Sutton Coldfield

We had travelled from Wales to Sutton - our home town.
We had travelled from Wales to Sutton - our home town.
Sutton town centre itself has gone down the pan so much it was not good to see. If you are looking to go shopping there is not very much shop wise that is worth going to. We won't be back sadly.
If you want a good meal it is worth going to Boldmere just outside Sutton where there are plenty of eateries of all kinds. We would highly recommend the Shaban for absolutely excellent Indian food and service.
Sutton Park was still a lovely place to go for a coffee and long walk at Bracebridge.

Sutton is a lovely town with its beautiful park complete with wild ponies. There are some great restaurants in town and plenty of historically interesting sites, especially for Tudor period history buffs. It’s also close to Birmingham city centre which is easy to get to via the trainline

Our visit was purely to attend a family wedding, the wedding was fantastic and the couple did seem happy with the hotels assistance. The facilities for us as only used briefly were good, all staff interactions were good.

Room had door that opened onto courtyard which was great. Dog friendly hotel (but had to pay extra £20 for the night which is a bit steep on top of £105 we paid for 1 nights stay - I'd say this should be a £60 a night rate max not over £100)
Good location off the M42. Nice hot powerful shower. Next to canal for walks. Breakfast was OK (a hash brown and black pudding would have been great to see on the full English though). Friendly helpful staff. Large bedroom.
Lovely hotel with plenty of character.
The hosts allowed us to check in early ahead of a wedding we were attending which was very helpful.
Room was very clean with a comfortable bed and quiet night sleep. The cute dog was the best part :)
Hotel itself was lovely, especially the bar area. Our room was warm and cosy. Plenty of tea, coffee and some biscuits. The bed was comfortable. Free parking is good too.
