Hospitality is good - the Honest John restaurant was very good and there are good cafes in town, in particular Grasso. Easy access to walking and to drive to other nearby towns and villages.
We attended a stained glass panel making course in Todmorden which was great.

walks from Todmorden are great you can have hill climbs or gentle walks along the canal paths in both directions and return by train or bus as they both have a regular service. The town itself has all that you need for a great break or longer stay highly recommend.

Lovely and interesting place, lots of cafe's restaurants and bars.
Entertainment wise lots going on, music nights, theatre, nearby cinema, walks, cycling etc. Locals are friendly and chatty.
The surroundings are semi rural, some beautiful landscapes especially on the tops above the town.

My first time in Todmorden (to visit family), I was overwhelmed by its beauty, friendliness, peace and tranquility but with many activities and amenities. A wonderful town and community! I wish we could have stayed longer but will definitely be visiting again.

I was at Walsden, the next village, part of Todmorden. If the weather had not been so bad I would have done some walking. The countryside is stunning. I stayed at Enchanting Haven which is stone's throw from Walsden Station.

Todmorden is a charming town that offers a unique and memorable experience. From its picturesque landscapes to its rich history, there's something for everyone to enjoy. The must-visit spot is the Todmorden Market, where you can find a variety of local produce, crafts, and delicious food. And if you're a nature lover, don't miss a visit to the tranquil Centre Vale Park, perfect for a leisurely stroll or a picnic. Todmorden truly captures the essence of a quaint English town and is definitely worth exploring!

We loved it all, location is fantastic! It isnt in the centre but is a few minutes away. The view from the conservatory is amazing! You could sit for an eternity watching the ever-changing landscape
Rooms are spotlessly clean, well furnished and service is amazing.
We were impressed by the personal touches provided by Ian and Lilijana, and would definitely stay again.
If you are looking for a room in Todmorden this place will only add to your stay.
The property feels remote although only 2 miles from Todmorden. Lots of lovely walks from the doorstep, weather permitting. Studio was very clean with everything you need. Eco cleaning products. Bed was amazingly comfortable. Lighting in the studio made it feel very cosy on a stormy night, very warm too. Would love to sit out with a fire in the fire pit.
Well presented, ground floor apartment with very helpful and friendly host.
Location was great for walking along the Rochdale canal, up onto the moors or down to Todmorden.
We didn’t use the car after parking up on the nearby roadside for our 3 night stay.
It was a comfy room in a lovely home and was the perfect accommodation for my night in Walsden. Jo was a fabulous host and even gave me a lift to Todmorden and booked me a taxi home. Definitely recommend for solo travellers or couples.
Really lovely stay. The hotel was surprisingly quiet and staff were lovely.
As a young woman staying alone, I felt very safe there.
The bed was comfortable and my room have a nice view of the surrounding area.
