The property was fine and the room was clean and functional for a one night stay. However we had booked as B&B and were told breakfast would be at 9.00am. We came down to Breakfast at about 9.10 to be met by another customer who had been there since 8.50 and he was unhappy as he had not seen any activity the place was in darkness and not a would to be seen or heard. We even when through the back to see if we could find anyone and the kitchen was in darkness as well. Clearly this meant breakfast wasn’t coming anytime soon!! Very disappointed!!! Consequently we all left without the breakfast that had been paid for!!

Location was hard to find, the google maps have got the Hingham Cottage marked wrong and it took us to the wrong location. It is located next to the weak bridge and Watermill Cottage which is what to search for on maps.

A country house weekend manor full of charm, cozy indulgence, historic interest, great hosts, delicious food, and dogs! My sister and I had a splendid weekend and appreciated the warm and genuine hospitality of Lorna and Andre from the moment we arrived. Fires in the hearth, stunning tub and White House toiletries, plenty of snacks, and home cooked meals. Possibly the best pain au chocolat I have ever had! Entrance to the drive best from bodmin rather than wadebridge, but that was easy with a u turn at trehellas house. We got out across bodmin moor to the hurlers and trethevy quoit, walked the camel near wadebridge, and enjoyed stunning views at Trevose head. Padstow was not worth the detour as we had seen other harbour towns in Cornwall with less tourist kitsch and better food. We didn’t make it to penhallow but would love to return for that treat. Great central location for lanhydrock house, fowey, cotehele, and more. Four thumbs up from us! Thank you Lorna and Andre! And scratchies to Lily, the Jack Russell, for the snuggles.
A pleasant walk around the town. I visited late in the day but there were still some shops open to buy groceries. A lovely walk around and if you have more time there is a trail along the river to nearby Padstow which you can also cycle too. Lovely Fish and Chips.

Nice old town and renovated since my 60 s trips . Old bridge into town is worth a look at for history buffs . Nice pubs and meals . Parking good in town not as awkward as some in Cornwall. Lost our bank sadly , and one more to go soon . Can bike to Padstow on the old railway track now cinders . Called Camel Trail , fantastic, hire bike at both ends . Good shopping for clothing and shoes , wine etc . More than average shops .

The Camping site is very close to the B3314 road, which makes it very easy to find. The quiet of 10 Trehawks was quite overwhelming. It was a real oasis. The cabin is ideally situated with a restful view and other dwellings not really noticeable.
It only takes a 10 minute car drive to reach Rock, New Pozeath, Pentire, Greenaway and Daymer Bay Beaches. Wadebridge is close too, for shopping, with good choice food shops, (providing the Trewornan bridge is not shut, as it was last year in May!) On Sunday, the Connect Church, in Wadebridge has an excellent 10a.m.service.
Harbour Cove has a beautiful sandy beach.
We take our camping chairs and spend the whole day there!
No, we don't eat out! We take a picnic with us and make an evening meal in the cabin.

Wadebridge is a lovey place to look around - plenty of shops, cafes and a few pubs. Lovely area as a base for walking - Camel trail and other local estuary walks.
The Ship Inn had great staff, good atmosphere and lovely food .
The Grannary was also a good lunch point .
We did visit Wadebridge inthe evening as well but felt less comfortable than the daytime - football / rugby on at the time though.

Kate and David were incredibly friendly and accommodating during our visit and even gave us some recommendations in the nearby areas as it was our first time travelling to Cornwall. The Crag was a beautiful place to stay and a great base for Padstow (8 miles away) and Wadebridge - a 20 minute walk.
Kate also kept us well fed with an incredible breakfast every morning, thank you for hosting us we had a lovely and enjoyable time in Cornwall!
Once again, another amazing stay in this fantastic hotel. You would need to go above and beyond to find a hotel to match this place. Everything is perfect from the location, the facilities, the rooms, the breakfast and the complete ambience of Trewornan manor. Thank you to paul and Jess for a lovely stay
