The hosts were lovely and friendly, and the accommodation, though small was perfect for us. It was beautifully kept, and everything that you needed was there. Super place!

Great location just minutes walk from the shops and river. The room was well appointed, really clean and had a super comfortable bed. The property offers self check in which was no problem for us, and we were able to get into our room early. We were also able to leave our bags after we checked out so we could explore and shop a bit more the next day.

There’s loads to see, The antique emporium is always a great wander, we always bag a bargain. Mr Simms sweet shop has some amazing sweet stuff, especially from America and it’s bloody genuine!! , The old post office is always nice for a quick drink and let’s be honest you can’t beat a greggs 🤣🤣however I would highly recommend MOLLIES on the High Street (same side as Waitrose just a few doors down) for an amazing breakfast and a really quirky environment, you need to go cause it’s Amazing! You won’t be disappointed
It’s great in the summer there’s festivals including Bunkfest which is always a great weekend and the Boat House opposite the river which is always good value ..
We are retired military and have now moved back to the north east but have spent over 25 years living in Oxford,Benson and Berkshire. We still have family there, so this really is a genuine review !!

Only spent one night in Wallingford as walking the Ridgeway, it was heavy rain through the duration of our stay but looked an nice olde market town. Waitrose was good . Ate out at the Five Little Pigs which was clean and modern but food a bit too over complicated for my taste

Beautiful picturesque part of England.
Beautiful picturesque part of England. Nice to get away from busy cities. We attended a World War 2 memorial service for LULU plane crash in Ipsden. Visit to Botley Cemetery where my uncle is buried with crew members. Four RAF, three RCAF. Would have enjoyed longer in Wallingford to explore the town.

The town and surrounding areas are a pleasure to visit.
The town and surrounding areas are a pleasure to visit. The town itself seems to have everything that is required for a relaxing weekend. We attended the Agatha Christie weekend and had a lovely time. Mollies restaurant offered a murder mystery evening which was well organised and the staff and actors of very high calibre. We also attended the Murder Mystery boat trip organised by the local council and this also was of a high standard. We also attended a talk on the history of the writer and visited the museum and a play put on by local children. All in all a very pleasurable experience. Definitely would recommend visiting Wallingford to anyone. We will making further visits in the future.

Nice market town next to the river.
Nice market town next to the river. Offers a full range of shops, cafes and restaurants. We ate in the Old Post Office which was nicely laid out and served a wide selection of dishes. There are also a range of independent shops and walks along the river.

Loved the hotel, staff were great and food was delicious! Couldn't have asked for nicer staff, helpful and super friendly. We ate in the restaurant both nights and breakfast too, the food was delicious, well priced and came out hot. Facilities were clean, beds comfortable and our suite was just lovely. We used the spa on our last day and it was such a lovely treat! We will definitely be rebooking again to come back in a couple of months!
Spotlessly clean room with everything you could need for a comfortable stay. Really friendly hosts who were available and welcoming without being intrusive. I really appreciated the cup of tea on arrival after a long journey, and the wonderful bread at breakfast! The cottage is very central to Wallingford with easy parking outside.
The breakfast was excellent value for money, bedroom facilities were clean and comfortable with tea and coffee available in the room. Hotel was in the centre of Wallingford so we were able to enjoy local walks along the Thames Path, go shopping and enjoy meals out easily.
Ideal location for walks around the town, very friendly people to chat to, hotel is brilliant, had a good stay, staff more than willing to be helpful, would definitely recommend and stay again
Good location , suited our needs given a day trip to Oxford and Wallingford. Bfast of good quality, overall good value at £80 inc bfast. This was a Sunday night.
