Midway between Southwold and Aldeburgh, this modernised, rustic inn has an excellent restaurant and refurbished, stylish rooms. It is an ideal base for exploring the Suffolk Heritage Coast.

The breakfast was excellent; and the location of the hotel was ideal for exploring the Suffolk coast The room was comfortable and stylish. The hotel was situated in large grounds with an impressive display of mature coniferous trees.

Our stay was exceptional. We highly recommend Dingle Marsh Barns. Breakfast was superb. The location of the barns was amazing - just a short walk to the pub and the beach and right on the coastal path. The owners were wonderful. The room was very well equipped with lovely toiletries. Fresh milk in the fridge was a really nice touch as was the bottled water and biscuits.
Set in Theberton, 22 km from Framlingham Castle, The Eelsfoot inn offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a restaurant and a bar. This 4-star hotel offers room service.

Westleton is a charming village with many tourist locations nearby. Ate at local pubs. Dunwich beach cafe particularly good. Lots of walks but car needed for elsewhere.
I would not stay at Briar Cottage again. I cannot believe the price charged for such poor accomodation.

Quaint village with lovely cottages and gardens.
Quaint village with lovely cottages and gardens. Unspoint by modernity. Great village shop and pubs. Tearooms, galleries, bookshops, village green. Windy lanes and spectacular National Nature Reserve wih rare plants and bird life and animals. Perfect for relaxing and getting away from it all. An unhurried way of life.

it is a very pretty village.
it is a very pretty village. It has a tearoom and a very efficient well stocked little shop. We walked to Dunwich and back and there are different walks in most directions from the village. The Crown was busy but very welcoming. We ate at the Crown the first evening and at The Ship at Dunwich the second evening, We love both places even though they have such different atmospheres. Westleton is well placed for a drive to Southwold or Walberswick one way or Aldeburgh the other and is a bird watchers dream location, I would guess.

Very quiet village, if you've seen The Holiday then this is very much like it 🤔😉
Two pubs, one very local, the other very chilled. Both serve a decent range of beers and great food and both really recommended
Ideal location for exploring this part of the world 👍

Decoration a little tired, restaurant good, bar a little uncomfortable. Garden was OK. Staff well trained and professionally pleasant but no real engagement and you always felt they were just doing their job. Parking at its limit, so sometimes you had to park on the road. Only one disabled parking spot near the hotel entrance - three other spots adjoining but none marked as disabled so had to park further away from hotel and room. The food was good - breakfast is a little expensive but it is freshly cooked so it probably was worth the money if you had everything! I am not sure I could manage to do that every day. Little ventilation in the cottage rooms so they are unbearable if the weather is hot. Facilities are good, including the option for fresh milk. Attention to detail is sometimes lacking - towels placed in the bath for replacement were not replaced but were just put back on the towel rail. We stayed 4 years previously and although it was a little tired then too we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the staff were genuinely friendly and interested in you - we wanted to like it this time too, but it was disappointing. This could be a very good hotel with a little more attention to the decor, lighting of rooms and improvement of the gardens.

The free easy to access Wi-Fi.
The free easy to access Wi-Fi. The extremely friendly doggie facilities, including the purchase of posh pooch treats. The food was also very good. The king size bed was more comfortable than our bed at home!
The nearby beaches were very accessible by car. The local walks from the establishment were varied & lovely.

The Apple Loft is a cleverly converted space above a garage building in the owners' beautiful garden in the pretty village of Westleton, ideal for a short break close to the scenic Suffolk Coast. Kitchen facilities are limited for lack of space, so it would be challenging to do full self-catering, but there are plenty of places to eat in nearby towns and villages. There is actually a toaster as well as the kettle, microwave and fridge. The lighting, heating and wifi were all good, and the bed is comfortable.
Warm welcome.
Breakfast superb.
Sitting in the conservatory overlooking a delightful little garden and watching/listening to birds. This was a special treat for flat-dwellers.
Having facilities to make (heat up!) meals.
Decor of room.
Proximity to Westleton Common.
The room we booked was spacious and cosy, the bed was extremely comfortable and the staff were really lovely, welcoming and helpful. The hotel is gorgeous and very dog friendly.
Well located on the edge of the village of Westleton.
Cosy 400 year old cottage, with plenty of space for a family of 5.
Great that it also has a washing machine and dishwasher
