All the staff were friendly, professional and helpful the restaurant staff, with whom we had the most contact, were exceptional. The food could be rated 'haute cuisine' and the sunsets from the dining / drinking area looking out over the river Swale were amazing.
Just across the road from the beach, Hotel Continental offers well-appointed rooms around 10 minutes’ walk from Whitstable’s characterful town centre.

The location was excellent, just a short walk along the seafront into the town.
The room was a decent size and appreciated the bath.

Location was amazing, literally just off the high street, and a 2-3 minute walk to the beach. However, it was extremely quiet and peaceful. It was the best equipped accommodation that we have stayed in, there wasn't anything else that we needed. Cleanliness was fantastic. Parking was right outside the door, and very secure. The ice cream shop across the road, Lottie's, was amazing! Would definitely stay there again.

Bars and restaurants are very good. A shout out for Handsome Sam pub, and Porto wine bar. Oysters have to be eaten when in season, and don’t miss the happy hour at the Oyster Shed. We were not in Whitstable to try all the eating/drinking places, but look out for the craft gin companies in town.

With a view and more to watch from property, another day would have been good. Whitstable is a nice town to visit and plenty of places around to visit like Canterbury Cathedral. We were lucky with the weather, which was so good.

The town looked very interesting as we drove through and we looked forward to visiting the local shop's. There was a lot of traffic and parking seemed to be at a premium but we will return at some point in the future albeit in a much more suitable accommodation.

We’ve now visited Whitstable during the summer for a day trip, and for a three-night stay in January. As expected, our stays were quite different, but the town was welcoming and engaging on both visits. We liked the range of architecture, independent shops, coffee houses and restaurants, and took advantage of the easy access to the north Kent coast via rail. What we enjoyed most was being by the sea for a few days and walking along the coast.

Lovely town,.
Lovely town,. Not much open on New Year's Day, but more open the following day, but those we met were very friendly. Lovely walk round the harbour as always, with a few huts open, despite the weather!
Ate at Hotel Continental food good, fairly pricy. But staff amazing!

A very nice couple of nights stay. The Marine is a lovely building and close to Whitstable. Our bathroom was rather cold. It was a shame that the breakfast wasn't more self service for the cereal, fruit etc..its nice to choose what you want and the amount you want. Price wise it was expensive in comparison with the Goodwood Hotel (where we'd stayed en route) which was far better and with a pool etc.
Great location and fab view. Check in was very easy, thank you to a very helpful receptionist at the Hotel. Hut was clean and warm and had all that we needed for our very short (1 x night) stay. An easy stroll for dinner at the Whitstable Oyster Company and helpful just to had the keys back at the housekeeping lodge on check out.
Excellent location with plenty of parking, stunning views over Whitstable Bay. Room was spotless & had all the facilities I needed.Evening meal & breakfast both superb quality. Exceptional service from arrival to departure by all at the hotel.
Perfect for a one night stay. Very comfortable bed and very clean. Lovely, friendly owners. Great choice of DVDs and dog friendly. Lovely breakfast. Close to Whitstable driving and a Tesco is a few minutes walk away.
we loved everything about our short stay in Whitstable. The hotel was everything we hoped for -- it was just a lovely visit which we will repeat if we can.
Dinner was brilliant
