Featuring air-conditioned accommodation with a private pool, pool view and a patio, VILLA CHRYSANTHOS is located in Ágios Matthaíos.

We loved the privacy and village location of the villa. It gave us the holiday we needed. The local village of Ágios Matthios was a short walk down the hill. There we found a local supermarket, a couple of good tavernas and the two friendliest business owners who run the local patisserie and a small bar. Spending the mornings in and around your own private pool is a game changer for anyone who is looking for pure R and R

The little house is set in Ágios Matthaíos, 16 km from Achilleion Palace, 19 km from Pontikonisi, as well as 20 km from Panagia Vlahernon Church.

The room looks smaller in the pictures, in reality it's spacious. The location is also great, in the heart of Agios Mathaios village and relatively short drive from amazing beaches such as Marathias, Issos, and Chalikounas.

It was really clean, the hotel was at a really good place, easily accessible by car or bus from the aiport. The staff were exceptionally nice. The food was good as well.

Facing the beachfront, Lido Corfu Sun Hotel 4 Stars All-inclusive offers 4-star accommodation in Benitses and features a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, fitness centre and garden.

The hotel was lovely with old world charm, we had a gorgeous balcony with views over the Ionian sea to watch the sunrise. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Special shout out to Maria who looked after the rooms, made special folded towel artworks every day and was so kind and friendly, sunny Spiros who made so many delicious cocktails, Artan for the lifts, and Calli & co. at reception for making us feel so welcome and being helpful with every question we had.

Very picturesque village with twisting little alleyways leading up and down the mountainside. A good choice of tavernas selling traditional Greek food, also bars with some selling locally made wine. Sunday was a very busy day, all the locals were out and enjoying a coffee and a chat. Greece at its best

AgiosMatthaios is very atmospheric and scruffy!

AgiosMatthaios is very atmospheric and scruffy! People were friendly and easy-going. A walk through the top of the village gives great views over the mountains. Eating out could be better but every restaurant gives big platefuls of local corfiot food. Sitting outside the Cosmas cafe for a beer would tell you a lot about the villagers and their habits. We would definitely stay again purely for the Greek way of life.

Agios Matthaios is a pretty village, with very warm-hearted locals. It is however, only reasonable to stay there if you have a car if you want to reach any local facilities at all. That includes reaching public transport, since the buses to the village are infrequent, only go to Corfu town, do not run in the evenings nor on Bank holidays or weekends. There are pleasant, hilly walks from the village with beautiful wild flowers, olive groves and sea views. The local (rather scruffy) beach is about an hour's walk away. There is a taverna and a kebab cafe in the village, both reasonably priced and with a varied menu and two small, well'stocked supermarkets to help with self-catering. There is also a delightful olive oil farm just down the road, with an invitation for a free look around and tasting afterwards - and a few things to buy, if you wish of course!
