The location was beautiful with a terrace (commom area) overlooking the sea. The room was big. The lady welcoming us was kind. There is convenient parking just out of the reception. There is a big courtyard for children to play. Being the old school of the area adds charm.

Beautiful gardens Friendly owners who were accommodating and flexible. This hotel is close to town but set back a little for peace and quiet. Great choice for cyclists as there is room for your bikes plus basic kitchen facilities and very hot water in the bathroom plus a balcony. Loved the terrace.

An area of unique geological and historical value, has unfortunately lost its appeal to nearby Poros (which is equally worth a visit, but for different reasons). Should you find yourself in the area, I strongly advise to check out this great website: https://www.volcanotrails.gr/en/main-english/

Natural enviroment is unique, the possibility to take thermal bath straight in the nature is amazing, but the abondance of the possibilities of this place is very frustrating. It is close to Athens and very close to Epidavros where there is an amazing archeological area and museum.

Methana is built in an active volcano and therefore are sulphide and radio springs. You can visit the location either by driving, or by boat from the Piraeus harbor. It is located 2.5 hours of driving from Athens and after Korinthos the driver should be "alert".
Close to Methana is Vathy, a picturesque village.

the municipal of methana is doing everything they can to stop people from accessing the free spots in the beach where mineral water is coming out, they have completely abandoned the public baths because they want to privatized them...they are making the access to the beach dangerous for the old people!Simple and utterly Disgrace

The beaches are beautiful and pretty deserted during April. Getting around was limited. Bike or scooter hire would have made the trip more interesting by allowing visits to more of the island, such as the volcano which i didnt get to see. There is no public transport and a i found a taxi too expensive. I might have enjoyed some organised activities or tours although, i'm not sure if this would detract from the peace and tranquility of the island.

Methana is a great place, with superb view and walks across the beach. It is very inviting photographically. The town is quite clean, but there are a lot of non renovated old houses-hotels for accommodation, with low prices. However, one should better look for renovated rooms or hotels, if the cost is within their budget.
The drive to the volcano is tempting, interesting, however, the walk to the crater could be a bit dangerous for not fit persons...

Great accommodation run by lovely people, I was in Methana for a wedding taking place near Vathi where all accommodation was booked out, but I don't regret staying a couple of km away in Megalochori, the views from the guesthouse are amazing and it's a nice quick walk down to the cute port of Vathi.
The food was delicious and the room was very comfortable.
Comfortable rooms, we had one with amazing sea view and roofterrace. It had a small but very usefull kitchenette where you can prepare some meals.
Fridge with ice cubes in it: so thoughtful!
Eleni is very welcoming and her communication is very quick and friendly!
We fell in love with Methana!
Very kind host, she made us great greek coffee in the morning and gave us some home-made liquour in the evening. Good location, close to everything in Methana. Nice and clean room with everything you need, and a great terrace! The bed was comfortable too. We'd go there again someday.
The room that we stayed in was amazing, it was very clean and very well equipped with all the important things. A fully functional kitchenette is a big plus, and location is great. Strong recommendation for your stay at Methana peninsula.
The hotel is in a great location, has its own beach. At 15 min. walk is another beautiful beach. The view from the terrace is perfect. It offers a view of the island of Poros and the Saronic Gulf. And the sunrise is a special story
