Our ferry was canceled, and we booked here last minute. It was a great deal and very close to the port, which is perfect for anyone catching a ferry. It is also just 10 min far from the center of Piraeus.
The facilities were recently renovated and very clean. The reception area had such a strong disinfectant smell, it gave off the impression of being sanitized to a hospital standard.
The shampoo and soap provided were of high quality as well.
We were exhausted after the ferry cancellation, but we were able to check in early and our room was ready. It was the best service we could have hoped for.

Piraeus is the place to have a stop over if you has to wait for the ferry to take you out to the island, but don’t book a week in Piraeus if you came to Greece to stay by the seafront. This part of Piraeus seemed quiet and safe.

Piraeus is a nice place to visit because it has very good connections to Athens. It is also a very vivid place and you can find somewhere to eat 24h and also there are kiosks 24h where you can buy things like cigarettes, ice-creams, magazines, newspapers, etc. It also has the port where you can go to the islands and is not very far and with good connections to Athens airport from where there are direct flights to numerous national and international destinations. It also has the Municipal Theatre and also there are numerous bars and restaurants in the area

Pireaus is old and shows its age, many buildings in poor shape with many empty. Villages along the coast prior to arrival in Piraeus from airport bus X96 have beaches, resorts higher standard accommodation and better commercial and residential areas. Recommend on Google map prior to visit and consider stay along the seaside before arriving in Piraeus itself. One can jump off airport bus X96 in many villages before Piraeus itself.
You can catch bus X96 to return to airport of catch other local buses to ferry and cruise Port.

This is Athens cruiseport. We went on a cruise and the town was very nice. Flew in the day before. Traveled to the cruise port the next morning. Everything went smoothly. Returned 9 days later. Then spent 2 days in Athens. Weather was beautiful.

Piraeus is a port, that's why you go there, to catch a ferry or a cruise ship. If you own a boat then it's a great place to purchase whatever you need. It's not a holiday place, it's where you catch your ferry to a holiday resort, it's very mutch a working town.
