This is a reasonable choice if you want to be in the center and don't want to stay very long. The pool would probably be an attraction for families. Rooms surrounding the pool are noisy during the day and the early evenings but usually quiet down by 9 or 10 p.m. The rooms are functional but nothing special. Mine lacked a desk, which was an inconvenience. The shower stall was tiny, but otherwise the bathroom was fine with plenty of space for toiletries, etc. There was also plenty of space to hang clothes. The central plaza is directly across the street, but there's not a lot to do, overall. I pretty much knew that, so it's not a complaint, just a comment for others that may be considering the hotel. The staff was friendly and the front desk staff spoke English. I had a small glitch upon check-in, but nothing serious. Breakfast is either tipico or pancakes and fruit.

Beautiful grounds, lovely hosts, and the food was top notch. Location was right near the park entrance, access to the beautiful river, and the chocolate factory. We slept like babies here, was so peaceful.

The location was perfect with beautiful views across to the waterfall and national park. The room was large with ceiling fans which were perfectly adequate to keep cool at night without aircon. The beds large and very comfortable and the room very clean. The pool was a lovely addition and the kitchen had most things we needed. Coffee and water was provided for free. The biggest bonus is Walter, the manager. He went over and beyond to help us have a fantastic stay from collecting us from the ferry, organising trips with English speakers and dropping us at the bus station when we left. Nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend.

Hotel and stay was really nice. Food was good as well, a bit expensive for pretty decent plates though. Neighborhood and surrounding area needs attention. Overall great stay!

However the guy at reception was very helpful, he didn’t speak any word of English. I feel like this could be an issue to a lot of people.
The room was moldy and didn’t smell nice at all, thin sheets on the beds instead of blankets, shower was terrible, no power and either way too hot or cold. Since the location is quite bad the only thing open at night to eat was a streetfood stand where i got severe food poisoning from (honestly, don’t go!!)
AC and Wifi worked very good tho and the room we got was quite spacious.
