The hotel is old & in need of renovation, but the staff was very frendly and helpful and the food was also very good. Down on the beach is a bar. I felt very good there.

Absolutely loved this place, one of the nicest places we’ve stayed! The staff were lovely and friendly, changed our towels when needed, restocked the mini fridge in the room when needed. The pool was lovely also and the breakfast was nice. Location was very good also

FAQs about hotels in Hvar
The average price per night for a 3-star hotel in Hvar this weekend is £93 or, for a 4-star hotel, £133. Looking for something even fancier? 5-star hotels in Hvar for this weekend cost on average around £3,939 per night (based on Booking.com prices).
Hvar is the largest city on the Croatian island of the same name within the Adriatic Sea. The wildly undulating coastline formed a natural harbour here, a fact which didn’t go unnoticed by the Venetians, who captured it as part of their empire. The Venetian Fortress sits atop a hill and 13th-century ramparts descend to the old town.
Another castle from Napoleonic times is on a different hill offering beautiful views over red roofs towards the offshore Pakleni islands sheltering the port. Ferries link Hvar to neighbouring Brač and Vis islands, Split and Ancona in Italy.
Given the size of the city, the amount of Hvar accommodation is staggering, and Booking.com offers everything from luxury hotels with pools to cheap guest houses and beachfront apartments. Although most beaches are rocky, their scenic setting and warm turquoise waters are still a draw.
At the heart of the city is the largest square in Dalmatia. Restaurants and bars spill out onto its cobbles, ending at St Stephen’s Cathedral with its see-through belltower. Around the same time the cathedral was going up, one of Europe’s oldest theatres was constructed in the waterfront Arsenal. The Loggia is the only remain of the Governor’s Palace, and the Hvar Heritage Museum helps to put all this in context.
Visiting Hvar in March was a wonderful experience.
Visiting Hvar in March was a wonderful experience. The island was quiet and peaceful, with no crowds, making it perfect for exploring at a relaxed pace. The weather was mild, great for walking along the coast and enjoying the historic old town. While some places were still closed for the off-season, there were plenty of great restaurants open and the calm atmosphere made the trip feel even more special.

Attractive old harbour town.
Attractive old harbour town. We gather that it is a fashionable destination for yachting and boating but there is not a lot to do otherwise. In mid-October it had an end of season feeling though restaurants were still open. Most attractions in Stari Grad had closed.

Hvar has a very nice walkable old town with interesting buildings including the fingerprint museum and the oldest public theater. We found great restaurants and took a wine-tasting tour that took us past lavender fields, vineyards, Stari Grad, and into Jelsa, and included olive-oil tasting as well. The tour also took us to the Napoleon fortress high atop the island. We had walked to the more accessible Spanish fortress from the town. We were lucky enough to catch some evening music in the town square during the town's birthday celebration (first week of October).

Fantastic location, apartment and the lady who meet us and showed us around the property and advised on some things to see and do in Hvar. Lovely bowl of assorted fruit and were given homemade roasted caramelised almonds.
The apartment was so comfortable, great facilities, modern interior in an old style home. We very much loved it!

Very nice and clean facility.
Very nice and clean facility. Very accommodating and helpful staff at the entrance. We stayed in the Penthouse suite and it was well decorated and maintained. Very modern and their patio was amazing, with shower outside. Felt very comfortable and luxurious. The staff at the pool was accommodating and friendly. We would certainly return.

didnt spend too much time in Hvar town.
didnt spend too much time in Hvar town. We were mostly secluded at our small hotel but we loved the island and it was pretty easy to get to and plenty of ferries to time your arrival and departure easily.

I frequently travel to Hvar and the location is perfect, lovely neighborhood with a gorgeous perspective of the Pakleni Islands, a short walk from center, close to beach bars/restaurants, a supermarket stones throw away.
The hosts (very welcoming) used to work at a luxury hotel and brings that level of quality & service to her apartments (clean and fresh). The apartment has great natural light. I had to take some video meetings and the internet was reliable and there is a decent work station to work from.
The location couldn’t have been better. The apartment had everything we needed. It was spotless and comfortable. Lovely place. Toni was there to meet us and explained everything we needed to know. He also gave us breakfast vouchers for a local hotel which was the icing on the cake as it was fab. I’ll definitely book this apartment again if visiting Hvar.
The premises were in a lovely location & very peaceful after the bustle of Hvar town centre. However as all other reviews commented, it was a 15 min walk along the beautiful coastline to reach the centre. ( The local hotel cat was a gorgeous addition too😻)
This is my 3rd stay in this hotel.
I love Hvar and I loved the vibe from my two stays in 2023, so I returned in 2024.
I love the pool and the food.
Price is good.
This year however there was too many children. I think this should be an adults only hotel.
It's a nice hotel, probably one of the biggest in Hvar - we had a front room with balcony so had amazing views. Reception and concierge very helpful. Breakfast also good.
