Our second Croatian island (the first was Lošinj) and another marvel! We were enthralled by the nature, we loved the diverse beaches, the restaurants and food were great, the locals extremely friendly, and for those wondering about Zrće - yes, it is just as lively and fun as everyone is saying. Pag is truly a well-rounded destination and you can be sure there is something for everyone to discover and fall in love with.

Pag is a beautiful place with a distinctive island atmosphere, hospitable inhabitants and acceptable and varied services. Everyone can find a place according to their requirements, even during two weeks there is still something new to discover and get to know. Beautiful place, we will definitely come back.

Pag is a quiet town for a family holiday.
Pag is a quiet town for a family holiday. The island is connected to the mainland by a bridge, which makes trips to other destinations easier. The stony landscapes with its indigenous plants is breathtaking and looks otherworldly.

Pag is an island of many faces.
Pag is an island of many faces. Various beaches, hiking trails, historic town, deserted areas and "night life" options on Zrča beach (not my favourite pastime though). I wish the developments near Novalja would slow down because they are changing the island ireversibly, increasing the pressure on scarce natural resources.
It is famous for its strong wind (bura) on the eastern side, regional hard cheese, olive oil.
Some of my favourite places - hiking trails and beaches near Metajna, olive grows near Lun, the old town of Pag.
To get around you need your own car (or a boat). Accessible from the S (via bridge) or from N and NE (via ferry from the island Rab or from mainland).
I'd avoid driving into the center of Novalja town, especially the undeground garage of the supermarket.
Groceries and restaurants are all around, bigger supermarkets only in the towns of Pag and Novalja.

The island very unique feature an inner sea, where you can find lots of very nice beaches. Here the beautifull sea meets with scenic, rugged mountains, so you can hike&swimm. There are small coves, nices beaches, olive gardens even more a via ferrate at the sea level. Ideal for adventureous people who loves nature.

Pag itself is a small city, but worth a walk.
Pag itself is a small city, but worth a walk. There`s a very nice square with a little but beautiful church. I advise a visit in a cheese shop, "Paska Sirana", 5 Zadarska Street, where you can choose from a variety of Pag`s famous sheep cheeses. A great present or souvenir to enjoy. Another must-do thing is a day cruise round the island (usually 9.00-18.00) You can book a trip in the harbour area, close to the bridge. The cost is 300kn per person and includes breakfast, lunch plus an unlimited amount of wine and Travarica. Great views, stops for swimming and the highlights - the Cave!
I`ll recommend Konoba Dida - good food, nice staff, just remember that they have a break from 3 to 6 in the evening.
The apartment is close to the beach, well equipped for babies and kids as well, but the owners, Josip and Snjezana make it a real gemstone. Their hospitality is one of a kind, I really hope that we will return to them in the future, and I recommend this place to everyone!
Košljun is a quiet village, but if someone likes more life, or beaches with bars and restaurants, Pag is only 10minutes by car (Novalja is 20), the beach is larger and sandier (free entry) and the parking is 7kuna/hour, so you can try different places as well.
Close to sea, 200 m walking. Clear water. A/C. Parking nearby. Suitable if you have sup or inflatable kayak. Beach is positioned east (no sunset) and you can enjoy cliff shadow in the afternoon. Other beaches in beautiful Pag (Cista) and party area Zrce are less than 30 min drive away. Or by water scooter, if you have it.
The hotel was very nice and has direct access to the beach and parking. We had a lovely time and the staff is extremely friendly! Would definitely recommend staying here.
