So helpful in organizing a guide for Mount Inerie.
Flexible with breakfast timing and provided packed breakfast for the hike. Banana pancakes have a nice cinnamon flavor.
Great location in downtown near many good restaurants.
Free coffee, tea and water all the time is great.
A bit hard to find with the lack of signage on the main road.
Cold shower. This was rough as it was quite cold and rainy when I visited.
No AC — fine when I visited because of the weather, but I imagine in dry season it would be uncomfortable.
No mosquito net, but mosquitoes didn’t seem to be a problem when I was there.
Walls are a bit thin so it depends on who else is staying as to whether the night will be quiet.

The home is full of character and both Maria and Kristian are great hosts. I did the tour with Kristian visiting traditional villages and Malanage hot spring and Maria invited me to visit local friends and I had an authentic experience seeing how they live and interact with each other. If I return to Bajawa I will stay with them again.

After we finally managed to find the homestay with the help of another guesthouse owner, as there are no signs and on Google maps the place is called Marcelino's Homestay we were greeted very nicely by the family.
As it's a bit colder in Bajawa we were very happy to hear that they can turn on the warm water so that you can take a hot shower.
In the morning we went on the trip to climb Mount Inerie and when we got back to the homestay around noon we were very surprised that we were still offered to eat the banana pancake breakfast which was very yummy.
