2nd time here and everything is still brilliant! The resort is a lot further than most resorts in Bintan, but it's definitely worth it. Facilities are ample, service is impeccable, food is great, and everyone greets you with a warm smile and you just feel so welcome. They keep you updated on the resorts' happenings via WhatsApp and communicate with you mainly via the app as well for your own convenience (so you don't have to walk to the phone in the room to call them or walk to the front desk etc.).
Some of the honourable mentions go out to the Reservations team who helped me out prior to my stay, the 2 ladies at the Front Desk - Feronica and Grace, along with the very friendly concierge team - specifically Tono! They really made our stay extra special!
Facing the beachfront, The Kelong Trikora Resort offers 3-star accommodation in Kangkakawal and has an outdoor swimming pool, garden and private beach area.

Perhaps we had chosen to come on a busy weekend, but this was not the peaceful getaway we had in mind. The pictures give an overestimation of the size of the resort, which comprises of ten villas closely clustered around 2 small dipping pools.
The other reviewers generally allude to the fact that they were “the only guests around”, or a small handful of other guests around. Unfortunately, if the resort is near full-capacity, it does get noisy and crowded.
There was a large group of travellers during our stay who had long gatherings around the pool with multiple Bintangs throughout our stay. They have every right to make noise and enjoy their vacation, but unfortunately, due to the small size of the resort, there was little escape from the bustle of their activity. It also felt a bit awkward to use the pool and deck chairs (again, because of the very small size and tight space), and we found ourselves watching Netflix throughout the day and having to book an excursion for some tranquility.
Another thing of note is that the resort is situated about an hour away from the ferry terminal and Lagoi beach with not many restaurants or facilities in the vicinity, which makes you kind of “trapped” in the resort throughout your stay. The beach is unfortunately quite dirty and would not be suitable for swimming (we did enjoy strolling along the beach during low tide in the evenings however).
Paid meals were okay though pricey, but breakfast was lacking in variety and taste. There generally is 1-2 Indonesian mains (like nasi goreng, mee goreng, or soto), as well as an egg station, some fruit (with flies), tea and coffee as well as mini sausages, French toast/waffles and bread. The spread seemed more reminiscent of a hostel/motel breakfast.
The staff were otherwise helpful and friendly; the rooms offered all the basic creature comforts with good air conditioning (though there were intermittent short power outages).
Housing a restaurant and a beachfront bar, The Spa Villa Bintan offers a tropical retreat with kayaking facilities and water sports activities available at its sister resort.

Our 4D3N stay at Trikora beach resort is just what we needed after a very hectic start of the year. We wanted a quiet place to unwind, slow down and recharge - Trikora resort did not disappoint. The quality and variety of F&B exceeded our expectations, pricing is reasonable and thus we had all our meals onsite. The service standard is very high, staff members were very polite and attentive. The 2 pools look very inviting and offer a lovely view of the beach and sea. The rustic beachfront villa is spacious and comfortably fitted our family of 5 with an additional bed set up. The entire resort stretches over a wide area, we felt like we were on a private island at times. There is also an open, well maintained lawn for my children to run around.
Facing the beachfront, One of A Kind Resort @Trikora Beach - Bintan offers 5-star accommodation in Telukdalam and features an outdoor swimming pool, fitness centre and garden.

A good place to get away from a busy environment. The villa looks amazing, the views are great. Only downsides are far from other amenities, and sheets, towels are not clean.
Madu Tiga Beach and Resort features an outdoor swimming pool, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Tanjung Pinang. The accommodation provides karaoke and room service.

We arrived via ferry and the hotel organised all the transport from ferry terminal to the hotel and then back again when we left- this was amazing and really useful! Staff were super friendly, we were able to do everything we wanted and it was not super busy so always space to eat and sit by the pool.
