The staff were very attentive and accommodating. We really enjoyed our villa and the heater they provided as the weather was a bit chilly.

Kintamani is a welcome breeze away from buzzing cities like Canggu and Ubud. It has beautiful nature around and is worth a visit. I would recommend to find a cool camping spot and hike up one of the volcanos.

The time period is based on the amount of activities you plan in the area. But if you just want to do hiking up the Mount Batur or only the Jeep in the sunrise - 1 night is enough of stay. The day before and after could be used for getting the views and some restaurants.

Kintamani is out of the way, but the drive/sites are incredible. We were going to hike up Mt Batur but then we would have missed other sites (due to climbing at night). However I am sure it would have been great! Most travel companies leave from Ubud not Kintamani. Recommend restful stay after the climb here. Not too many English literate people here but very kind and accommodating. Too many dogs!

This is a stunning area of Bali with the Geopark and many attractions around. Totally different pace to Ubud and other parts of the south. Thoroughly enjoyed the change of scene and pace here, and as always the people are so nice.

Loved this area, so different to the many other areas we visited, perhaps because it is cold at night and hot in the day.
Lush and wilderness feeling with stunning vistas of heights and mountains, lake and village.
Surprisingly upmarket spas and cafes and accomodations.
Multiple hot springs each more elaborate than the next.
Loved the regular village life and agriculture going on everywhere.
I was hesitant to put Kintamani in our 3 week itinerary but it was unique in Bali, spectacularly beautiful and that great mix of tourism convenience but with regular Balinese life going on all around you.

Beautiful place!
Beautiful place! But it is bali.... so expect rubbish, lots of traffic and run down places. But no matter the look, the food was fantastic and so cheap at every place we went.
This isn't a party place, but if you do plenty of activities during the day, hiking, bike riding, white water rafting ect youll be in bed early!
The hot springs in town-
Toya desa- run down charm but loved it! Has terrible reviews online but they seem to have fixed all those problems eg/plastic over the food and allowed refund of cash if you paid by cash (not entry ticket) to load up a token you use (handy cosyour constantly in the water)
Massage wasn't great but facilities good.
The other hot spring- great massage! But really bad facilities and pools.
Mt butar is fabulous. Sunrise hike was incredible... but its extremely cold at the top, so bring warm gear. Beginners hike but it is a mountain so no thongs/flip flops.
Great place to visit for 3-5 days.

Bali Cottage offers some incredible views. It’s really quiet and the owners are just super friendly and incredibly helpful. The place is so peaceful and special.
The owner even provided a guide for me for the sunrise hike… and even drove me back to Sanur. They are making sure- that you feel very welcome there. I can highly recommend the place.
Breakfast very standard, my suggestion is to provide more option like jajan bali, pisang goreng, singkong rebus etc . there is no proper parking area, and there is no staff to help us to quit from parking area. I found guest before us, the car was stuck on the entrance, because he doesn't know the terrain
The views of the mountains were amazing. The location made mountain and lake activities more accessible than in other areas of Bali. The staff provided a free shuttle to the main road. Staff were easily contactable by WhatsApp, and were no problem when we left early.
The most comfortable bed we’ve had in Bali, very nicely decorated rooms with high ceilings, beautiful garden and lovely hot spring pool overlooking Trunyan Hill (the other side of the crater), really friendly staff and Edi helped us organise a great trip!
The view. My god, the view!! Every time I looked up from my book, my jaw dropped.
Ketut was SO lovely, and her mie goreng was the best we had the whole time we were in Bali. Try it. You won’t be sorry.
One of the most remarkable places I’ve ever stayed.
