I would have rated this hotel higher, but I booked it as a ‘day stay’ before flying out on a red eye and despite having informed the hotel of this when reserving, the hotel were very firm about not letting clients access a room before 15:00. I wish they had been more honest when I booked, because I would have chosen somewhere else to stay.

We've stayed at Angkul Angkul Segara Beach before, and once again, it didn’t disappoint. The hotel is in a perfect location—close to the airport, the beach, and plenty of shops. In terms of price-quality, it’s excellent.
The staff is very friendly, and the rooms are great—clean, comfortable. A big plus is the pool, where you can step right in from your room. It’s a fantastic place to relax before, or maybe after a flight. Highly recommended!

One of the first Bali resorts, Kuta has a long, sandy beach and great nightlife - reasons why it’s one of Indonesia’s top tourist spots.
Another popular draw is Kuta surfing. From gentle rollers to lefthanders, the waves are great for all abilities. Several shops in town sell big-brand surf gear at knockdown prices, while other shopping options include Kuta Square, Discovery Mall and Bali Mall Galleria.
There’s also no shortage of places to eat. Street vendors offer local fare, while international cuisine is served in restaurants of the Kuta hotels on Booking.com. When the sun goes down, the heat goes up, as the bars and clubs in party zone Jalan Legian kick into life. For something more refined, the bars by Kuta Beach waterfont are a great spot to watch the sunset with a refreshing cocktail.
If you’re up early enough to see the Sanur Beach sunrise, you might get to see locals throwing traditional offerings into the sea. Spirituality is a big part of Balinese life and there are yoga and meditation classes, not to mention spas to revive the senses.
The gateway to southern Bali, Denpasar Airport is right on the edge of the town, so it won’t be long before you can stretch out and soak up the sun.

When walking to indian Aahar restaurant at evening from the hotel, I fell in a hole on the sidewalk close to the hotel on main street, no light to see well and the hole was at least 40 cm wide (see photo), my whole leg fell into the hole and I hurt myself badly, very lucky I did not break my leg when just starting my holiday... :-(((
I strongly recommend the Aahar indian Restaurant, they have a lot a delicious choices and plates are big. At Lippo Mall, I had sushis at Mild Bistro outside the mall on the terrace they play live music, but they were really bad, can not eat them...

To all tourists who spend time in Kuta or Canggu, I simply don't understand it. The beaches and landscapes aren't nice at all, but it's crowded, noisy, and more expensive than the rest of Bali and Indonesia.

Amazing place with only positive stuff.
Amazing place with only positive stuff. Food and drinks - plenty of possibilities, ocean warm and clean, waves sometimes high, sometimes not, sand if not cleaned up early in the morning, then cleaned up before noon. Plenty of sun beds and chairs for chilling, lots of beer in the stalls on the promenade...excellent summer vibes feeling in Kuta

Most of the things you want to do (eat, entertainment, shopping, cheap massages, etc) are here and within walking distance from hotel. You can select hotel to most expensive to reasonable. Most of the cheap hotels are still within acceptable to stay (Air Condition, TV, descent rooms, etc). You do not need to spend too much on hotels. Plenty of sightseeing to spend on instead. Recommend rent car with driver or drive yourself.

I love Kuta because of the shopping, restaurants and foot massages. The traffic is full on and road rules are apparently optional so you need to watch as you cross the street. There are so many people around that I felt safe, even at night.

Kuta Beach is the best spot for enjoying sunset beers in the evening, and it’s fun to watch the surfers during the day.
There are many affordable and delicious local warungs, and it’s easy to get around even without a motorbike.

Friends and I only booked the Grand Istana Rama hotel for a night as we needed something close to the airport for a late night flight. We only used the hotel for the facilities (booked a room so we could shower before the flight, use the pool etc). The hotel has a great pool area with swim up bar. Staff on the front desk were lovely and very friendly. Rooms suited our purpose and were great value. Location of hotel is right on the beachfront in Kuta and close to shops, bars and restaurants.
1. Location of Hotel Bedrock is very close and convenient to DPS Bali Airport, which is big plus.
2. Location is nearby good eateries & market which is a big plus.
3. Air conditions in room should be upgraded to meet international tourist standards.
4. According to local climate the hotel should arrange anti mosquito spray & arrange it in each room.
5. Include little more vegetarian options for tourists who are pure veg.
Great location and beautiful hotel. All staff are friendly, their restaurant has lots of options and good quality of food. The Balinese Megibung dining experience is the must try! Great value for money and highly recommend. Free afternoon tea was a bonus. It was lovely to have an option of food and drinks service directly to the pool.
Beautiful comfortable hotel with great staff and fantastic pool..
Close to airport and on busy road.. but quiet in room..
If you stay.. try pipo restaurant..next door..
Cheapest beer in Bali... 🍺
Good (cheap) price after a late arrival in Bali. All we really needed was a comfy bed handy to the airport on our first night and this hotel was just fine for that. the staff were lovely.
