We arrived late in the evening and immediately we were welcomed warmly by the owners and they even asked us directly if we would like to have some dinner. We can really recommend the food there - breakfast as well as dinner and especially the watermelon juice! The bungalows were very cute! The owner are very nice and even help you to organize snorkeling tours and pick up services!

It was cool for what it was but it wasn't all that. Booked 3 nights stayed for 1. Because I found a better place at a better price.
But it's got massive potential to be an amazing place.

Sekotong is not overurn with tourists and all the associated businesses that come with that. Hence it's very quiet for the most. The down side of this is that you always need transport if you want to get to any other facilities or shops, whether that be a car and driver or a motor scooter.
Sekotong is also close to the more south western Gilis, which makes for a very quiet visit for snorkelling etc.
This is not a party town type of place - so if that's what you are seeking, better go to the more established areas.

THIS AREA,SEKOTONG IS A VERY INTERESTING PLACE. SOME REALLY COOL STUFF HERE.
SNORKELING IS AMAZING. SO MANY WONDERFUL ISLANDS TO GO AROUND AND ALL ARE DIFFERENT. NOT MANY PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT THIS PLACE---YET! FOR SURE ITS COMING.
I HEAR SUMMER HERE IS SOMETHING ELSE. MIGHT NEED A JACKET IN THE EVENING AND NO HUMIDITY. SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE WATER BETWEEN SEKOTONG AND BALI?? I HEAR THE HILLSIDES LOOK LIKE THE SOUTH OF SPAIN. DRY AND NICE BUT ACROSS THE BAY IS RAINIG. I WILL FIND THIS OUT FOR MYSELF.BECAUSE IM COMING BACK.

This is my first time visiting Sekotong with my partner and we loved it. Very peaceful and quiet. We recommend to take a snorkeling trip to Gili Nanggu, Gili Tangkong, Gili SUdak and Gili Kedis. Can't wait to come back here and stay longer.

Too isolated, no transportation available, no taxis.
Too isolated, no transportation available, no taxis. You are forced to stay at your hotel, and if you are unlucky to have a good hotel, then your holidays are spoiled.
Trash everywhere.
We got bitten by dengue mosquitos in Sekotong, so it tells you about the state of waste management.
I would suggest to simply come for islands hopping, although Gili Nanggu is very polluted.

It was a great secluded place to relax for a few days. The villa is very spacious and right on the beach, which at high tide is very beautiful. It was great to have a private pool and the beach right in front. This accommodation has the nicest and cleanest beach portion in the area.
The staff was very helpful and friendly. We arranged through them private transport from and to Bangsal harbour. They were kind enough to stop on the way to a mall, in order for us to shop for food. For meal options, you can eat at the nearby Silver Fern hotel.
Fantastic stay at this beautiful and peaceful hotel. Minimalistic and spotless. Great food and great price on extra services offered like laundry, scooters etc. Location wise, it is not close to much, so a scooter is probably a must. Brilliant hospitality
Clean room & beautiful view, right on the beach. You can see the islands gili nanggu, tangkong, sudak & kedis from the hotel. Blondy & Nyoman are really nice & give excellent service. Very recommended to stay in sekotong area.
This hotel has already seen its glory days. It has a beautiful pool and nice, spacious rooms. However, they are in need of some renovations. You have to cross the street to get to the beach. The massages are wonderful.
Thanks for this short but nice stay in your hotel. The owner was very helpful to prepare an amazing welcome room for my wife with flowers. Food was good as well. The room is big with all we need for a stay.
