Adare – 9 hotels and places to stay

The Dunraven Arms, established in 1792, is an award-winning oasis of tranquillity, surrounded by mellow thatched cottages, offering the ambience of a country house with fine service and friendly...

The quiet room suited well on this occasion as there was a wedding on the same date. Normally on my several visits I preferred a room on the upper floor.

Set on the edge of Adare, Fitzgeralds is 10 minutes’ from Limerick City. It offers an award-winning restaurant, a leisure club with a pool, the Revas Spa and free WiFi throughout.

Lovely family atmosphere and staff were very attentive to all needs. Loved the fact that the 3 children had proper single beds rather than sofa beds or sharing beds as in other hotels and all beds were very comfy.

Garrane House is stunning, old world charm and peace. Kathleen is a fabulous host and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Everything was provided and the entire house was immaculately clean. Set in 20 acres of landscaped gardens, this Radisson Blu Hotel and Spa offers luxury accommodation, free parking, and an award-winning restaurant.

This has been my favourite place so far on our journey. I had the best and most comfortable sleep. Beds were comfortable! I love the openness of the lobby and restaurant. Breakfast was superb with everything from meats and cheese, breakfast cereals, toast and pastries, fruit, yogurt, coffee, tea and juices. Was a very clean hotel with lots of amenities.

Tourists can't enter Adare Manor unless they stay overnights or dine at two different restaurants. We booked breakfasts and then walked around to enjoy the beautiful scenery and atmosphere inside. It was a fantastic morning in Adare.

Lovely village to walk around with lots of shops.

Lovely village to walk around with lots of shops. Unfortunately, we only stayed one night. Due to this most of the shops were closed or closing when we arrived and we didn't have time the following morning to get a really good look around. Only one of the pubs in the village offered live music on the night we were there and as we didn't have a booking they wouldn't let us in. Great little cafes for breakfast with good coffee.

We stayed in the Dun Raven Arms, great hotel, owner present...

We stayed in the Dun Raven Arms, great hotel, owner present all the time and very friendly, and you could see his staff got on really well with him. We went up the town and had a few drinks in Bill Chawks pub up around the corner from the hotel. He has another pub called Auntie Lena's but the Bill Chawk Pub is nicer. We went for a good walk by the river passed a Church of Ireland and arrived back on the walk in the middle of the town. I think maybe 2 miles. Dinner bed and Breakfast in the Dun Raven was super. We were not on a deal just B&B but had dinner there. We had dinner there before we had stayed and it was lovely so that's why we came back. It had been very busy that day and we met the owner Mr. Murphy and he gave us a table. I think if we had not met him we may not have got that table. I would give the mark out of 10, 10 out of 10. We also had a beautiful room No 65 with a dressing room, a bathroom, a two seater couch and a very big room. thank you Paul M Paul M

This was a beautifully maintained, relatively small facility with perfectly maintained rooms. It was spotlessly cleaned throughout. The included breakfast was made to order freshly for each guest. The hosts payed personal attention to us, and we felt like we were at home. The shops and pubs were a 5-minute walk away.
